He’s got another year according to my brother in law, who is plugged in up there. Barnhart is probably retiring, along with the president, in June. They’re going to punt and let the next guy make the hire.

I would actually prefer that they fire him. For some reason, he is a terrible matchup for Tennessee. It does us no good when others beat him if we can’t beat him. He’s sort of the inverse of Nate Oats for us. Which is why I want Oats to stay in Alabama. Or go to Kentucky

Hard say he is a bad matchup , when u dominated the game both times , our problem has been finishing the game

Barnhart’s contract allows him to transition to a special assistant to the president role on July 1, but he’s required to give six months notice, which would’ve been 12/31. Of course there’s a chance he did that and it hasn’t been announced yet.

He hasn't done that. It's unlikely he will exercise that option at any time. He'll likely just retire. He and President Capilouto are close. They likely go out together.

You think they wouldn't trade those 4 wins to get back the beat down we put on them in the Tourney last spring to advance to the E8 while they went home with their tails between their legs? Of course they would. It sucks losing to them, but we own the one that mattered most. The Tourney will always produce superior bragging rights.
