Love that their fans are now saying "There's no hope in Pope." Kinda funny that BYU improved once he left too... They did start spending more money, but they also got an upgrade at coach.

UK basically got a sober Billy G to replace Cal... Except Billy G had actually won a game in the tourney before he got there. They really went out and had to hire a mid major coach with all the history they have. Let that be an eye opener for the ones that can't wait until Barnes retires!

Will be interesting to see how they look tomorrow night vs. Gonzaga. I could see them pulling out a close game and also wouldn't be surprised if they lost by 30. Depends on how they respond to their recent struggles.

Pope’s first year team is way better than this one.

Looks like they’re just playing for a pay check.

Pope is trying to be someone he’s not. His team last year had a lot of success because it was mostly a bunch of dudes that had to scrap and claw to play high major basketball. They had chemistry, grit, and played hard.

This team, as you mentioned, just seems to be collecting a check. Only going through the motions. Instead of trying to put together a roster of the highest paid portal players, Pope probably should have kept with what worked for him at BYU and last year.
