Their record is a bit deceptive. They lost to a pretty good Ole Miss team in OT because their kicker missed a PAT (and they had a stupid premature celebration on what should have been a TD). That Ole Miss team just gave Bama all they wanted. They just held Mike Leach's MSU offense scoreless...that's the same offense that torched LSU and set all kinds of records in Game 1. Kentucky can play.

This team has a very good defense and offensive line. Tennessee is favored, but this isn't a game we can overlook. Hopefully, after what happened against Georgia, they'll be fired up to prove something. Beat Kentucky, take the probable L against Alabama, go into the off week 3-2, and I think we're in good shape to either run the table or go 4-1. Lose to Kentucky and things could go downhill.

Huge game.

Yes, this is a big game for the season and for Mr. Pruitt. A loss here and the season could go into a tailspin.

Kentucky will be salty. If the offense sputters again this week they'll have to make some changes after we take our annual beating from Bubba.

I’m happy the desperate UK Wildcats won last week so the needing to rebound Tennessee Volunteers won’t be playing a desperate winless Kentucky Wildcats team.

I expect the Tennessee Volunteers to rebound vs the Kentucky Wildcats , and I’ll be extremely happy that the Alabama Crimson Tide steamrolls the Georgia Bulldogs and makes Bennett regret completely that he is the Georgia staring QB for this game vs the Crimson Tide.
The Crimson Tide score more than 35 offense points, and win by more than 31 points.

It’s also the team that put up about 150 yards against a bad MSU defense. The MSU win over LSU means a lot less now than we thought at the time. MSU offense has been a no show for 2 weeks after that win. KY is an average team at best.

We should beat UK soundly if we don’t have a hangover from the horrible loss at UGA. KY has a good o line and rushing attack but there is no reason we should not win this game by 10 or more points if we bring it Saturday.

I agree. Its really hard to string any kind of win/loss theory after the first three games of this "season". LSU looks pretty bad to me. And IF MSU would have run the ball against a 3 man front from Arkansas they'd still be running. Arkansas probably should have beaten a weak looking Auburn team. And on it goes. I THINK our OL will show up this week (Saturday's performance by them was one of the worst I witnessed at UT and would be interested to see how each lineman graded out yesterday) and MAYBE we can establish a line of scrimmage and run the ball at will. I do agree Kentucky will be a challenge but think the Vols will be ready.

Yep. Notice I didn't brag on their offense. ;) I think they only had 10 1st downs. I like our front 7 a lot and think they'll slow down Kentucky's running game. I don't see this as a high scoring game.

Curious why? I think UT wins in a 34-23 type of game. What kind of score do you think it will be?

Because the strength of both teams is their defenses. Both have big concerns at QB. So I see defenses controlling this game.

I'll say it's something like 20-14. Not ultra low scoring, but pretty low scoring by 2020 standards.

If the o line plays to their talent level, then we should be pushing UK around all day creating running lanes for the RBs. There are no more excuses for poor o line play with our remaining schedule. If our o line struggles, then your prediction may be pretty close.

When we have a QB who averages less than two TDs per game, it will never be a high scoring affair.

I like TN 24-20

Kentucky could possibly beat the Vols if they do not rebound very strongly from the Georgia loss. it will be a close game. Their offensive coordinator is very creative.
