It's being reported that LB Kenneth Bynum has torn his miniscus. No timetable on how long he will be out, but probably for a while. Not good news considering our LB depth.

Sorry to hear that, but that is usually not near as bad as an ACL.

Also said that Patterson hurt his shoulder after a catch but it's not too bad.

Don't those usually just take a few weeks as opposed to months to heal up?

I know I was able to get back to running after a month. Not sure if there is a longer period out with football though.

2 to 6 weeks from surgery (if needed) and he should be good to go (depending on how hard he rehabs it).

I tore mine doing squats last october. I was back in the gym at full strength in about 6 weeks. Mine was a slight tear not a full tear. Actually the doctor told me if I had fully torn it that he would have had to do surgery and I would have probably healed a little faster than with a slight tear. Its no fun having 395 on your back when your knee gives on you though thats for sure.

I tore my acl on march 16th and still have a ways to go. Surgeon said if only meniscus usually 100% after month & half to 2 months. Dr.Rappe who did my surgery learned under Dr. Andrews who did Bo Jacksons hip surgery. Rappe is one of the surgeons who works on the UT & Carson Newman athletes.

Depends on the extent of the tear, I tore mine partially in a judo match, hurt like h3ll for several weeks, doc said if it was much worse they may have to scope the whole thing (meaning remove it).

Hopefully its just a partial

Was he expected to contribute much? Never good but I didn't know he was ready to play.

Depends of if they try and repair it or trim the torn area. If they repair it, he could be gone for the season. If they trim it up, 4 - 6 weeks and he could be back. Been there 3 times so far.

Ok... I'm dead serious when I say that Dooley needs to Just keep CP, hunter, rogers and rivera out of contact. I'm starting to get pissed. If anything happens to one of them, somebody better be ready to talk me off a ledge. GREEN JERSEY'S!!!!!!

If the field is as bad as palardy is reporting, we may have some stoved up knees and ankles.

Sprained my miniscus and it hurt for a year. Hyper extended doing leg lifts. I think a tear would be better than a sprain due to surgery able to help.
