Kennedy Announces Plan To Retire July 31

This. I can't help but notice zep is sidestepping the fact that ya'll are pointing out his skewed view of the Supreme Court, which is supposed to have an adherence to the constitution as opposed to party/agenda politics.

The egg is on zep's face with this one.

Possible a "fried" egg/brain??

Even more interesting is you thinking that I implied I wished her to die.

I did say at one point, can't find the post but anyway, I thought she should have retired under Obama while she could. Because she's truly screwed now. Never wished her to die though.

Keep trying, sparky.

It's the liberal way, they'll make stuff up to be outraged over. I've not see anyone say they wish she'd die, but he keeps saying that in response to every post to have something to be upset about.

True. I don't have any problem with them being political appointees, just be honest and acknowledge the political bias they bring with them. Term limits for the entirety of DC would go a long way to fixing some of the problems we have there.

When you think of checks and balances, then you almost have to accept lifetime appointments as a mistake - particularly if there is no real method for removing a judge. I'm sure at sometime a federal judge has been impeached, but I certainly can't remember it happening, and activist judges (of any bias) aren't by definition impartial as the definition of "judge" implies, and should be removed.

And you guys tell us to be civil while you yearn for a political opponent to die..

Now, Zep, there's a big difference between "where there's death, there's hope" and literally wishing someone would die. One is passive and the other is "activist".

This would be a great lead in for an 5 Hour Energy commercial.

True, but in her defense I'd probably agree with a nap about that point, too. Written speeches are so much better than oral ones - you can take a break - or simply call a halt to a really bad one without being offensively obvious.

Cotton picking slave driver!

You'd think there's a training academy for them - probably just something in the female genes. The good ones at least know how to con you into doing something, but those are rare.

I was gone most all of last week, got back last night. She's in AR with her dad while he has surgery until Tuesday and you should see my list of honey-do's.

Not a please in the entire document!

Are you serious, zep? Nowhere did he say that he wanted anyone to die, or would be excited by it. he asked if anyone could imagine what the left's reaction would be if it happened.

You're damaging any cache of credibility you may have had with this bizarre accusation.
With his diaper as full as it is he is gonna have a stroke. He is literally grasping at straws.

I'd bet "thank you" is a one sided issue, too. And does she remember the slightest offense from 20 years ago and wield it like a hammer, but can't remember that you fixed whatever just yesterday?

If I didn't know better I'd think we're married to the same woman.

Don't feel like the lone ranger. I've got one of those too.

Just remember how many people tried to elect someone's wife as president. Got to be one of the most frightening thoughts for anyone old enough to actually know much about women.

can you imagine how f'ed this country would be for a century had Clinton picked 2-4 justices?

He did pick 2. Both are still active. Not too sure one of them is really “there” though.

Edit: Oops. Sorry. You meant if HRC had been elected, not Bill’s tenure. Right?

Actually judges shouldn't even have views. They should be able to read and interpret (in the literal sense) laws and decide if what comes before them fits the law or not.

Imagine the chaos on the road if drivers felt entitled to "interpret" traffic rules in the way that liberal judges rule from the bench.

This is an absolutely awesome post.

For 90 pct of his life, Trump wasn't this rabid political conservative. In fact, when he speaks before his handlers get to him, his first reaction to an event or question is usually liberal, or at least more closely identified with the Dem, position.

What changed?

I think it's that Trump's desire for reaffirmation and for applause is much greater than his allegiance to his own gut reaction. He craves attention.

His bombastic style suits where the GOP is right now. Confrontation. Bullying. Insults for laughs. So that's where he's landed. Where he can get an approving audience.
