Mine too since Leach is out of the question...But its going to be Kiffin...Lets hope He can coach along with all that great recruiting everybody is bragging about...Still got a very nervous feeling about him :unsure:

From what I've been able to gather from both of their threads is that people think the following about them:

Kelly = Great game day coach; would need help on the recruiting side
Kiffin = Great recruiter; coaching cannot be clearly analyzed, would need a great staff

I guess this poll will tell us which traits people think are more important.

I'm afraid people are liking his youth and recruiting over what really matters,coaching. I could recruit at USC and bring in 5 star talent...

the guy recruited 5 star talent at USC and people say its the school. he kicked ass with his 5 star talent and people say anyone can do it with those players. when does the guy get a little credit?

I bet if we examined the demographics of this vote, I bet we would see that the majority of those voting for Kiffin are twentysomethings and those voting for Kelly are older. Am I right?

I prefer Kelly, obviously, but I voted for Kiffin because it looks like he is the leading candidate. I will be happy either way, I trust Hamilton to make the right decision and I will support his choice as long as it's not Leach.

To be honest, I'm not really certain about any of the leading candidates. They all have their pros and cons. Kiffin and Kelly are probably my leaders, and Kiffin has a small lead because...1. Somebody saw something in him before his hire to Oakland (of course, that somebody is Al Davis) 2. He is driven and ambitious 3. personally, I'd rather have a good "face" guy who can recruit but will hire topnotch position coaches and coordinators than a supposed jerk, Kelly, who may be a great coach but will chase off kids, parents, and donors. Of course, this is from the least athletic person I know (me)...

Kiffin, if he can bring Monte and Coach O with him. That is a powerhouse staff that could out-recruit anyone. Kiffin is a good offensive mind and we all know Monte's style. Brian Kelly seems like a great coach but I don't see him outrecruiting CUM or Satan. Big time recruits looking to play in a "spread" O will not have Brian Kelly as their first choice as a HC to play for when Meyer, Leach or RRod are recruting them too.

Voting for Kiffin. I am not twenty something but thanks. :) It seems like more things are falling into place for Kiffin within the totality of the situation. I like Kelly and respect his strengths but both candidates have places that are in need of support. It seems that the leaks of who Kiffin could bring to the table have served to make him a more attractive hire. Maybe if we knew who Kelly might bring to the table it could even it out.

I think Kelly would be a very good hire and most certainly an excellent coach. :rock:

Kiffin however, with all the possible assistance's he might bring........:good!:

Well not to beat the same drum but those people are right...It's Southern California...Swimming pools, Movie stars...Warm year round and some of the sexiest women on this planet...Makes me want to pack up and move there haha...But hey got about the same thing here so I'm good...Back to the point...He will get credit when credit is EARNED and he does it on his own...Fixing this mess here would not only make him creditable but would make him a star in the eyes of UT fans...Let's hope and pray that happens...I will support him 100% if hired but I want to see results and I hope he proves me wrong about that bad feeling I got :good!:

I would be too afraid that Mike Leach or Tim Brewster would be behind door #3. :eek:hmy:
