Kellie Harper to Missouri

Regroup and come back. I have no clue who you are but you seem to be admiring my work. Thank you, honesty isn’t for everyone. You seem to take issue/triggered with her not succeeding with the resources and brand she had here as that was what brought you out.

If we are discussing one’s happiness.

@84Vol3 I apologize. I respect my elders, especially those who struggle with the internet and postings links/pictures. My therapist charges way more then .5 cents but you’re sweet for the offer. As I said, regroup and come back.

Every time I see this roster it gets worse. Poor thing has all guards and 1 mid-major forward. Linthacum is 6’4” but she’s never been any good. This team is going to get hammered in the paint. Brining in 6-7 transfers you’d think she would have gotten a little more size.

Still curious to see how this goes for her. Mizzou looks somehow too big and too small all at the same time. They have a bunch of slow 6’-6’2” players. Don’t think it bodes well for the SEC which seems to be getting faster and faster all the time after years of being the league of big banger type post players.

She certainly doesn’t have any expectations to deal with. As long as she doesn’t mind getting boat raced all the time she’ll be fine.

She may do better than what you think now she will. I hope so, anyway. I mean, folks thought the Golden State Valkyries were gonna get boat raced every game, too, but they've clinched a playoff spot.

I expect Kellie’s Mizzou to become one of those teams no one like to play. Physical , slow down the game tempo, etc. I think the kind of players she will get will mostly be those who stay four four years so every few years she will have a mature squad who
Will be very competitive.

Kellie looks to me like a woman who is no longer carrying the weight of the Lady Vol legacy on her back. Both LVFLs who coached following Pat probably woke up every day feeling that pressure. Yes, Kim is under pressure, too, but nothing could ever compare to what it must have been like for two beloved former Lady Vols to coach in Pat’s shadow. Nothing.

Kellie looks happy and healthy. The state of Missouri has been good to her in the past, and it appears the fans and students of Mizzou are embracing her. I love it, and I absolutely cannot WAIT until Feb. 12 when I will have the opportunity to stand and cheer loudly when her name is called in Food City Center as head coach of the Missouri Tigers. I am never, ever not going to be fan of Kellie Jolly Harper.

Y’all are way more optimistic for Kellie than I am. The top half of the SEC has gotten so incredibly loaded the gap between top and bottom is a chasm, both in talent and in money.

I hope I’m wrong but I see innumerable belts to bottoms in Mizzu’s future.

100%. I think/hope KJH knew what to expect when she took the job. She just wants to coach, work with young people, and do things the right way. Good on her.

I just don’t think winning much is in the equation.

No doubt about that. On the flipside, Kellie is a great pick to get the most out of a team laboring under those constraints. She is a plow horse coach who did not quite know what to do with the few racehorses she had in her stable.

She will get her plow horses pulling in the same direction and I predict will make the NCAA tournament every couple of years.
