TBF after seeing Ohio State fans "flip-off" Vol fans (kids and adults) in Columbus, I think this is well earned.
Yeah, it was bad in Columbus. My 22 yr old son and I went to the game.

There was a lady sitting at the bar at a restaurant called the “Drunch.” Someone played Rocky Top on the jukebox and the lady screamed out “ go back to F***** Applebees. Volnation sang in unison so she continued to flip out.

And at the game, esp pregame, I was called a few names (insert F bombs) while sitting in my aisle seat. Crazy!

They call TN fans hillbillies and rednecks, yet their behavior fits the definition.

I went as well, their fanbase is trash.

I didn’t leave that game with a favorable impression of them either. We were walking back to the car with a group of UT fans including what looked to be a number of teenage girls (could’ve been college age too, but young regardless) and this dude starts yelling “F*** Tennessee [blah blah blah].” Part of me still wishes I had told him he could cross the street to our side and then talk or else stfu.

It’s frustrating and difficult to walk away, but I’ve learned to accept the insults and take the high road.

It’s not worth getting the last word when that 5-10 minutes could escalate, esp when the other party is intoxicated.

Yeah it’s usually best to turn the other cheek, I have no interest in being injured or getting arrested or sued. Sometimes I wonder if some of these yahoos out here would benefit from a good a**-whooping though.

I feel like everyone needs to have their asses kicked sometime. It’s a great learning experience 😆

I went as well, tailgated in Ohio State lot and did not have any issues, anywhere. Other than getting curb stomped on the field and a stupid long bathroom wait nothing from fans. Really kind of disappointed we could not at least piss them off.
