Keep the SEC Southern

The only irreconcilable state's right dispute at issue in the Civil War was slavery. No other issue could have generated such a conflict.

History revisionism aside, is college football really that much different in Columbus, Ohio, or a dozen other places than it is in Knoxville?

Agree with a lot of the OP and that's why I hate that the SEC is trying to expand.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. We have the best conference in the country. Why would u mess with that? I wouldn't.

We have 3 strong teams and the rest are no better than a WAC or Sun Belt team. How does that make us the best conference in the country. I know people keep saying that but its just not true.

If A&M enters the SEC how can that not make us better, we have Ole Miss, Vandy and Arkansas in here for gosh sakes.

I think your going a little overboard with that statement...

I chuckle when UNC, UVA, VT or even NC State are mentioned as leaving the ACC. ACC basketball rules the conference and those boys are going nowhere..Take it from a VOL embedded deep in ACC who reads and listens to fans responses in this area. VT had the governor intercede to get their invite to ACC. They go nowhere IMO. Clemson, maybe???

Can't you hear it now?

The Vols and the Hokies meet Saturday in a key Southeastern North matchup

meanwhile, the Gamecocks and Hurricanes lock horns in a Southeastern East tilt

Never gonna happen...VT isn't going anywhere and Miami isn't going anywhere but probation.

I love the South myself. I love Tennessee. I think ppl that lump themselves in with the Confederacy are dumb(blatantly retarded). With that said I have always wanted Georgia Tech to come back to our conference but I wouldn't mind VT or UV or WVU for that matter. I agree with wanting to keep the conference southern and I hope we don't try to pull in a Missouri or Oklahoma and I know they probably won't but North Carolina would be a nice addition.
