Rain helps the offense (particularly the passing game) because those players on offense know the routes they are supposed to run and the assignments they are supposed to take on while running the offense. The receivers know where they are supposed to go, the QB knows where he has to go with the football, etc.
Defenders in this situation may slip while trying to cover or recover while beat, due to the slippery conditions rain causes.
While are defense is inexperienced, and at this point some what suspect, our offense and inparticular the passing, are our strength.
Florida, on the other hand is some what suspect on offense, they don't have a go to reciever, and the QB is still trying to find himself. The strength of their offense is in the running game which has less of an effect on defenses in rainy conditions.
Rain advantage = VOLS.
