Tony Basillio, Paul Finebaum, Izzy Gould, Kevin Scarbinsky, Collin Cowherd, Phyllis from Mulga, Big Jim from Town Creek...what do they all have in common...they were all losers and zeros in life before they found out they could use the print or airwaves to find some semblance of relevance...quit feeding these whores...please.

Some of you really sound jealous of Tony Basilio when you speak

This 100x. DT has dissapointed as a recruiter. Some of the kids he's offered makes you wonder.......

, but then realize no quality recruit wants to go to a school that is dealing with a NCAA storm and possibly playing for a new coach by the time they get to Knoxville.

Did I miss something? Has news actually broke indicating harsh penalties from the NCAA? Or is Basilio just flapping his trap again?

You mean they were regular people who made careers for themselves, getting paid for what we do for free? How dare them.

Talk show boobs are "career" people? Phyllis from Mulga is a "career person"? Geez your idea of "making a living" is different from mine it seems..

Can't believe the season is pretty much over, and there's still nothing from the ncaa.

No, Basilio said that as soon as the basketball season went south, the rumors of Tyndall not surviving quickly ensued.

Hypothetically- if Tennessee did fire Tyndall, who in the hell would want to come coach here? Take off the orange-tinted glasses before answering. Facilities can only get you so far.

When the NCAA delivers the Show Cause letter CDT is history.

If they fired him because the NCAA was about to give a show cause, it wouldn't be a problem.

It would be huge mistake to let him go at this point. His obviously a great coach who gets the most out of his guys. Tell the NCAA to shove it and let's get this show on the road

Please not this again. Shaka has been rumored at a list of places, and we aren't getting him.

Based on history, the list would be just like it has for the last 5 hires. But, anything short of a show cause, and Donnie is our coach.

Tony Basillio posed a good question today on his show. He said the NCAA is going to give UT a reason to fire Tyndall if they want to and he asked should we cut strings and start all over while we can or keep Tyndall for anything less than a show cause. Personally, I really like Tyndall and think he can coach but my question is can he recruit at the level required to win at a high level? With the NCAA issue hanging over his head, we really wont know an answer to this until it's too late. So, would you prefer to find out the answer to this question or start all over and try to hire another coach?

To replace him would be horrible. This is the scenerio that I see if/when he is fired.

(1) No good coaching prospect will want to come to U.T. because the roster is thin. So, it is not likely that a coach who can coach as good as Tyndall will replace him.

(2) After the NCAA is finished with Tyndall, he will show up at a smaller school and take them to the Sweet 16. Maybe Akron, M.T.S.U., etc.etc. Then we will regret not keeping him.
