Keep him or let him go

Doubt Tony knows any more about it than the rest of us, he always makes stuff up to try and get callers. Let's just be patient and wait and see how all this plays out and then the Univ can make the call. Doesn't matter what we think anyway.

Some "Vol fans" on here really amaze me! Let's use a little common sense while looking at history! First, DT took over a program that was in shambles late in the recruiting season. Second, DT with the depth and talent he currently has actually played a good first part of the season. No depth and big men is killing us late in the season. Third, all other coaches are using the NCAA investigation against us in recruiting. Nothing DT can do about that until the final decision is made by the NCAA. Fourth, if there is one thing I would hope UT has learned it is the fact you don't fire coaches because of a down turn.

Some people just need to relax, let the NCAA give their sanctions, and give DT a chance!

O'Connor will never get to coach again. Nobody will hire a coach that tattle tailed on his own coach. Guess he can continue to sell Advocare products. What a jerk.

You're right. That's why he tried to cover up his involvement in the whole sordid affair with his efforts to keep his name out of the media. Once a fink always a fink. That's why his résumé is now null and void. But, Avon is always looking for new sales ladies who aspire to pink cadillacs.

Furthermore, Frank Smith is no paragon of virtue either. The ncaa should fire him for conspiring with a disgruntled ex-employee to drum up a case against the assistant's former boss.

This 100x. DT has dissapointed as a recruiter. Some of the kids he's offered makes you wonder.......
No? What offers make you "wonder?". The dude from Walters State ended up being a good prospect, ven Nebraska offered.

Calipari didn't even go to the NCAAT until year 3 at Memphis and then didn't make the Sweet 16 for several more years. He only got his initial class at UK because he made them sign a clause at Memphis allowing the kids out of their LOI if he changed jobs.

Basketball recruiting is a longer process, and the NCAA cloud has slowed Donnie for the time-being.

Yep and Hart needs to speed up the NCAA sloths so we can find out for sure Tyndall can recruit.

Good grief people, give the man a chance to do his job. Do you actually think anyone wants to come to the revolving door university? Hart needs to grow a pair and tell the NCAA to shove their investigation and keep a good coach for once. He will turn this team around if we give him a chance.

I honestly don't care what we do anymore. Keep him, fire him... I don't care.

I will say that I find it interesting though that I see some of the same people who s*** all over Pearl and pushed him out the door, they're backing Tyndall. A coach that has literally done nothing for our program to date. We don't support the guy who gets us to our only elite 8 and #1 standing in the country but we're going to stand behind the guy who has never coached at a big time program or accomplished anything. This, I don't understand. Anyways, I just got a craving for some BBQ. Ssshhhh, don't let the NCAA know I got a stash of some kind meat. Mum's the word.

Pearl had a show cause . If CDT gets one he'll be gone too . If he doesn't he'll get a couple more years to prove himself

Tyndall won't be fired until the NCAA gives UT cause to fire him. They have to wait until that happens. They would be stupid to do it before then because then they would have to pay a buyout. If he has a Level I or II NCAA violation then UT can fire him and not have to pay him another cent. That's in his contract. So, we wait and wait until the NCAA releases something.

I think some of you really need to look at your expectations for the basketball team. The NCAA tourney wasn't going to happen this year, there's no sure way to tell but I'm fairly positive things would have been much worse under CCM this year. Some of you need to come to the realization that Tennessee basketball will never be UK basketball.

Gah! This fan base loves firing coaches. What stupidity.

I believe they love the complaining about never getting anywhere because we always have to start over they expect greatness from day one thing they don't realize is not everyone likes Tennessee not every kid wants to come to Tennessee not every good coach wants to coach at tennessee

Tony Basillio, Paul Finebaum, Izzy Gould, Kevin Scarbinsky, Collin Cowherd, Phyllis from Mulga, Big Jim from Town Creek...what do they all have in common...they were all losers and zeros in life before they found out they could use the print or airwaves to find some semblance of relevance...quit feeding these whores...please.
You mean they were regular people who made careers for themselves, getting paid for what we do for free? How dare them.
