Best of luck to the young man but I never thought he had a chance to play QB here with 4 QBs on the roster. He should go somewhere where he can actually see the field.

Never miss a chance to throw some cold water on anything... you must be a joy to live with

Which is the most likely scenario, one of our QBs "balling out" with no spring or summer camps, or Pruitt repeating what he did last year and anointing the QB with the most seniority as the starter since there were no spring or summer camps?

There was no spring or summer camp. You confirmed that. So since no other QB on the roster could beat JG out and he led our team to the second best winning streak to end the season last year, why does it seem strange that Pruitt go with experience and production over inexperience and little production?

Wow. Was hoping he would be some competition. So we are back to JG, Shrout, Maurer and Bailey. Okay then.

He was a walk-on QB hoping for a scholly. With the huge recruiting class coming in and Banks presumably getting a scholly back, I'm guessing there wasn't one available to him. He is probably going to transfer to a school that can give him a scholly. Probably a G5 school.

I would put him in tight race for 3-5 on the QB depth chart behind HB IMHO and probably Maurer. Maybe even or ahead of Strout.

Two of those QBs weren’t on the roster yet.

Three QBs were here when he transferred in and like most programs we take atleast 1 QB every year. His only hope would have been if JG transferred or went pro. Always thought it was strange for him to transfer here.

You really want to try to categorize JG's 2019 performance 'leading the team on a winning streak'?

Thought he transferred before Maurer reported? In any case, Bailey wasn’t a 100% certainty so it was more of a case of former starter being better than two unproven 3 star QBs in year’s time. Not exactly Mitch Mustain jumping to a roster of 5 star QBs at USC back in the day.
