Hearing his name a lot for the DL position. Louisiana native, LSU graduate, coached with Dooley and Sunseri at LSU, and has 7 years of NFL experience coaching DL (last 6 coaching Minnesota Vikings...Williams Wall and Jared Allen). Also, he's only 44-years old.

Everything I've read and heard about this guy has been amazing. I would love to have him on the staff. He said if he wasn't a coach he would be a police officer so he could protect people or be a walmart greeter so he can be around people all day.

The way he speaks about his skin condition is amazing.

He gets out on the field and shows his players what he's talking about.

Prefers they call him Coach instead of Karl because it's a privilege to be called a coach. Because a coach is more than someone who says hi and bye to you when you're at work. It's someone that teaches you, takes you home, feeds you if you need it, and will give you a shirt if you need it.

Sounds like a hell of a man.

I honestly don't understand why he got fired at Minnesota. Seems like the ONLY thing they had going for them on the defensive side of the ball was the DLine. But I definitely like this guys character, he got fired but still left in the most respectful way, only giving praises and completely understanding the situation. Seems like the type of guy that Dooley has been going after. With him and Dooley having coached together at LSU for a year, I can definitely see, and would love, this guy joining our staff!

They went 3-13: someone had to be fired, and it wasn't going to be on the offense since they want to keep the system in place for Ponder and Webb.

That's what unemployed coaches do. I think his interview with the Jets was late last week.

Yeah I know-just pointing out that it's not like he isn't in demand for anyone who freaks out over the fact that he got fired.

Looks like CDD has some good options on the table. The last 3 have been upgrades. No reason to believe this will not be as well.

I don't see him coming back to the college game. But it would be great if he did! Yes, Dooley and him were on Saban's first staff at LSU. Dunbar was actually the S&C coach that year. Dooley had TE's/special teams.

It has been nearly impossible to run against that defense in recent years.
