Hey guys,

Moving up to Kansas City at the end of the month. I was wondering if we had any fellow Vol fans that live here?

I have watched every Vol Football game with my father since I could remember, but this season we will be too far away to watch a game together every Saturday.

So, I was wondering if any of the guys here got together to watch the games???

There is a UT alumni chapter that gets together each Saturday at Coach's Bar in Overland Park, KS. You don't have to be an alumni to go. It's open to all Vols fans in the area. I live too far up north to go. Plus I like to yell at the TV too much, so I would be asked to leave. Here is the link if interested. Welcome to the area. What part of the metro are you moving to?

Awesome! Thank you so much. We haven't found a place yet, my fiance has her internship in Parkville, so we'll be living somewhere North.

How long is her internship and how long do you guys plan on staying in KC?

If you two are young, I would recommend living either in Downtown (Quality Hill area), Westport, or Waldo, and just commuting to Parkville for work (20 minute commute).

I just finished watching the O&W game on the internet & come this fall, you will have a ton of stuff to yell at on your TV set. JMO, :whistling: Worley & Peterman still have a long way to go on offense. Defense is a little better from last year thank god. Defense won the game. There was 61,078 fans there today watching the O&W game. They said that was the 2nd largest attendance to see an O&W Spring game.:peace2:

Her internship is only about 5 months (Its her practicum for her last semester of college.) She's going for Social Work, and I fix computers.

We've discussed staying in KC afterwards depending on our jobs. We also have family about an hour east in Warrensburg.

I live in the "Northland" of Kansas City, near Gladstone. It's nice if you plan to raise a family, but if you are still young and like to go out a lot, it's pretty limited. Parkville has some nice golf courses and was home to golfer Tom Watson. I think he now lives in Johnson County.
