It’s not coaching scared. It’s not taking chances that don’t need to be taken. It played out for a FG win but we didn’t execute.
He had three timeouts left and 7 seconds. He was okay with running a play until the penalty. Help your kicker out and get a couple of those yards back for him and line it up down the middle

I don't have a problem with it because Joey is not Hendon Hooker right now. Hooker had earned the trust and respect of the coaches that when the game was on the line, you were going to win or lose with the ball in his hands.

Aguilar is on his way to being that type of player, but he's only been on campus for a month or so. He hasn't had the time to develop that kind of dialog with the team yet. If you want to win, you play the percentages and up until this game, Joey was really unknown and unheralded. As the season progresses, I expect Heupel to rely on Joey with the game on the line. Right now, I completely understand why he may have been hesitant to do that.

It's easy to 2nd guess, but as much as Joey has won all of us over and is clearly the leader that this team has been lacking since Hooker (to be fair, Milton was also a great leader but wasn't consistent enough on the field), you want to avoid the turnovers and he came in with a reputation for being careless. It's just growing pains.

Was impressed with the team effort. Says only reason we lost is because JH went soft and this let Georgia win.

This guy is no different than anyone on here except that he apparently has enough free time to crank out videos.

I bet he has never called a play at the college level…and likely not at the high school level, either.
