Everyone with a camera and opinion can put it out to the world now days. It’s not difficult to find someone to tell you what you want to hear.

I don’t get the knock on CJH being too conservative. But for an offside, we are set for a 37 yard field goal as time expires. Exactly what we want after GA tied it up

if he weren’t so “ conservative” ( as many call it), and we had a TO, I think he’s far more likely to be appropriately second guessed.
I think he did well enough on that last drive. It was the one after the turnover that I don’t get. That was our chance to effectively end the game and we looked like we played for a FG.

Yep, I still love The Heup but he got too conservative against a really good team, and it came back to bite him. Hope he learns something from this.
Dude was launching the ball all over the field yesterday against a defense with TEN 5-star recruits yesterday and yall are calling him conservative

This 4th down play totally fooled our D and when Kirby had 4th down at midfield he went for it, made it, and they scored a TD. Heuple had the same situation in 2nd half and punted. That's why Kirby is a championship coach. Hope Heuple takes notes.
You mean like when Heupel went for it on 4th down against UF from like our own 10? We had a chance to win that game last night at the end and then kicker missed. Heupel made a lot of great decisions to get us to that point. He’s not perfect but no coach gets it right all the time. Kirby flat out lost one SEC Championship game with stupid decisions. It happens to all coaches.

He will, that's what great coaches do. You could see it on his face last night. This one gutted him and he looked PISSED. He's a competitor and I can promise you it will be a learning experience for him.

Brother, that could’ve been a senior corner back, and it wouldn’t of mattered that ball was placed perfectly over the far side shoulder and out of the reach for anybody to be able to disrupt
Plus there was a push off that probably would have been called if it was not fourth down and the the quarterback was in the process of being hammered when he threw and it was against all odds that the ball went where it did. Sometimes you just have to shove it aside and move on.

I agree with him. You can't play not to lose against top 10 teams. Thats the reason they are top 10 teams. UGA took many risks with a freshman QB, we took none with our experienced QB. #74 needs to explain why you would jump the snap in that situation. The entire staff looked shaken, who called the plays in overtime? You have to take shots after the loss on first down.

Heup did the same thing against Florida in 2022 albeit we were up by more points in the 4th than against georgia. It almost bit him in the ass that day but thankfully our defense held on.

This is from ESPN - We were just going to take a shot there, and we needed to score fast," Smart said. "We didn't need to keep milking time. It felt like they were defending the sticks, and we were trying to get a touchdown. Sometimes, you get an advantage when people play the sticks and you're willing to take a shot."
Play on words. All we had to do was kick a 43 yard field goal and the game is over. Actually, all we had to do was play either normal offense and defense in the second and third quarters and we win by 1-14 points. We played two very good quarters, first and forth and played below average in the second and the quarter. We will a very good team when our injured players are able to get on the field. They need to return to play or teams like Arkansas, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Alabama will give us all we can handle. I believe are younger players will be -laying better as the season progresses and we still finish 10-2 or no worse than 9-3.

And that is coaching scared. It could happen but you it also sends a message that you don’t trust your guys to be able to execute it again properly
Its not coaching scared. It’s not taking chances that don’t need to be taken. It played out for a FG win but we didn’t execute.

We didn’t make one play…the FG.

Everyone can nitpick and b!tch and moan, but Heupel once again had our team in a prime position to beat a conference heavyweight. And before the game, everyone on here woulda said yes if given the option from 42 yards to win it. Our kicker just missed it.

I think coaching was very even in this game. They called some superior plays but so did we. Again, one play….
Shouldn’t have come down to that one play.

UGA didn’t take any risks with a freshman QB. Gunner Stockton is a Junior.

On the 3rd down coming out of the timeout when everyone on the planet knew TN was just going to run to center the ball for the field goal, I was thinking that a short play action pass to a TE scores a walk off TD. Then the false start and we know the rest.

Kinda how I see it, you expect the QB to get over throwing an INT and execute, the coaching staff needs to do the same.

Yup early in the game we did, that changed and then that t/o fumble drive TN definitely played conservative and played for a FG instead of looking for a TD

I know some of you guys think this shouldn’t matter, but when 2 teams play such a close competitive game then the smallest things can sway the outcome.

Home game in front of 102K screaming fans and the home team is penalized 10 times vs 5 for the visitors who have a reputation of pushing the boundaries on legal play especially with their DB’s. Statistically, the home team is penalized less than the visiting team but we were charged 2X the amount. Still, our senior kicker missed a FG he makes 90% of the time.

There’s no right or wrong call here. Ive seen it done on of 3d down game ending FG so that if it’s a bad snap, hopefully you can fall on the ball and still have another shot at it.
You can second guess all you want but hindsight is 20/20. Bottom line, they made the plays that counted, we had the opportunities to do so and didn’t.
