Kamara to Packers 1st Round

It doesn't matter. Kamara won't even be available for them to pick. He's going 16th overall to the Baltimore Ravens.

Here is my Vols Mock Draft:

Round 1, Pick 11: New Orleans Saints select DE Derek Barnett (Tennessee)
Round 1, Pick 15: Philadelphia Eagles select CB Cameron Sutton (Tennessee)
Round 1, Pick 16: Baltimore Ravens select RB Alvin Kamara (Tennessee)
Round 2, Pick 51: Cleveland Browns select QB Joshua Dobbs (Tennessee)

3 Vols will be picked in the 1st round. At least 4 Vols in the first two days. Possibly 5 if Malone runs as fast at the combine as I expect.

Crack is an evil drug.

The problem wasn't playing over Hurd. It was playing over Josh Smith. Even if the staff preferred Hurd at RB, there was no excuse for Alvin to ever be on the bench. He was easily our best slot receiver. And whenever we needed big first downs or touchdowns we threw to Alvin. He was easily one of our 3 best offensive players. He should have NEVER left the field.

I would have played Hurd and Kamara together in the backfield on EVERY snap. Even if they didn't get the ball, just being out there would have caused to the defense to pay attention to them which would have given us an advantage.

There was no excuse for Alvin Kamara to be on the bench as much as he was at Tennessee.

I think the problem actually was him playing over Hurd.

Alvin Kamara was the better back, period, not just in the offense Butch likes to run.

I had always suspected that Kamara might be better, especially in Butch's offense, because of his speed, shiftiness, and lateral quickness/cutting ability. But I was never totally sure because I couldn't see him in practice and assumed the coaching staff knew something I didn't.

As you said, I still thought there was no excuse for not having Hurd and Kamara on the field at the same time.

After the A&M game, it was obvious that it was coaching malpractice he wasn't the starter.

We'll see

He's one of the more talented wrs in the draft.

He goes in rd 3

The Walter Football folks D4H adores have Malone as the 35th best WR, going in the 5th to 7th round. I have no idea how good those guys are, but i am not alone in my assessment.

D4H in the past has equally abhorred WalterFootball.com when I've referenced their information/data in the past......youll be shocked to learn that it was when he disagreed with their assessments.

I sure hope so, I'm a huge Malone fan. I just think he's much more likely a 6th or 7th round guy, possibly a UFA. Draft is deep with WRs this year and he has a ton of guys to leapfrog past with his work at the combine and ProDay.

They also had Dobbs as a 6th-7th rounder before he won over the Browns staff at the senior bowl.

Once Malone runs a sub-4.4 40 at the combine his stock will rise substantially. He could end up going as early as the 3rd round.

Actually I predicted exactly what they're doing right now. I told you they knew nothing before the senior bowl when they and everyone else was projecting Dobbs as a 6th-7th round pick. I told you that coaches and front offices don't really start evaluating players until the senior bowl and combine. I told you Dobbs stock would rise among these so-called "draft experts" after the senior bowl and combine because they would finally be getting real information from NFL teams and their prospect rankings would change accordingly. You are right now seeing exactly what I said. Dobbs is now a 2nd round prospect according to Walter Football because they heard Cleveland and possibly a few other teams likes him.

Danny Kannell was actually talking about this on Russillo and Kannell yesterday. He said the reason mock drafts change so much at this time of the year is because NFL teams don't even evaluate prospects until the college season is over. The scouts are watching the college kids all year but the GMs and coaches who ultimately make the final decision don't look at this guys until this point of the year. That is why every year prospects rise and fall substantially. Kannell said a lot of the early mock drafts are just going on hype from people who watch college football. The NFL guys don't really start giving their input on prospects until now.

That is how Josh Dobbs can go from a 6th-7th round prospect to potentially a 2nd round pick in 2 weeks. And how Alvin Kamara can go from possible 2nd round pick to now a consensus first rounder. Basically everything before the senior bowl and combine is just noise. The real information only starts coming out after the combine in late March and early April when the draft process is in motion.

No way he goes in round 1 might be late second or early third round pick you can get a good back in round's 4-7 so why would you waste a high pick on a player that cant run between the tackles,
