Kamara Showing Out

Exactly.

I was just hoping 40 yards was short enough that his lack of great top end speed wouldn't be exposed. But it was.

This may come as a shock to you, but the 40 yard dash is almost half of a football field. If you don't reach your top end speed in 40 yards, then you are the exact opposite of "explosive."

What is this "more quick than fast" mess? You said he'd run 4.3....he ran 4.53. You don't predict a guy will post a world class 40 time because he's "more quick than fast".

Say it with me D4H.....

"I. Was. Wrong."

More quick than fast = great first step explosion but not necessarily great top end speed

That is what his outstanding vertical and broad jump numbers show.

Alvin has exceptional acceleration to reach his top end speed really quick. That is great fit getting through holes in the NFL. His top end speed just isn't fast enough to pull away from guys at the second level.

If you want me to say I was wrong then here it is. I was WRONG in thinking Alvin could run a 4.3. I was hoping the 40 was short enough that his lack of elite top end speed wouldn't be exposed but it ultimately was.

I'll still predict Dobbs to run 4.4 and Malone to a 4.3. Hopefully Cam also gets into the 4.3s.

Just to be sure:

Do you understand that "the 40" refers to the 40 yard dash? Meaning, the player is going to run 40 yards as quickly as he can?

You guys take this stuff a lot more seriously than I do.

40 times and game scores or even whether we win the championship next season is all fun and games for me.

I don't take this stuff top seriously which is why I make predictions about everything. And I ain't afraid if I'm wrong.

I am however confident when it comes to big picture things like how good Dobbs, Kamara, and Sutton will be in the NFL.

No team has him as the first damn rb in the draft....not a damn one.

I read a rumor on a browns fan forum from an insider who allegedly has a family member in the Browns front office that they have Kamara rated as the #1 RB on their board and the #12 overall player. He also said Deshaun Watson was the highest rated QB on the Browns board but he was only the #28 overall player.

There have been a steady stream of VN posters who have been saying this for a long time now....AK is quick, elusive, even runs with good power. A lot of those same posters also argued that Alvin was better, more explosive and deserved a much bigger role in the offense too while you shilled for Hurd.

As far as Dobbs and Malone, if I had to guess, I'd say Dobbs - high 4.5 to low 4.6....Malone - 4.45 to 4.5. Be shocked if Cam runs sub 4.4......guessing he'll run similar time as Malone.

The Browns having a player as #1 on their board is like saying Kim Kardashian has Soren Kierkegaard #1 on her board of best philosophers.

Now he's REALLY hoping his Dobbs and Malone 40 time predictions don't look just as absurd.

Still think Dobbs runs high 4.4 to low 4.5. Anything from 4.48-4.54 is what I expect Dobbs to run.

I think Malone can break run in the high 4.3 to low 4.4 range.

Cam should be in the mid 4.4s.

Best vert and broad jump of any RB. That shows his elite first step explosion.

I think he was just nervous doing the 40. His personal best is probably in the high 4.4s. Just ran slower than he's capable of today. Especially on that second run where he was all out of sorts to start.

lulz

No we don't. It's become recreational sport to shoot down your wildly hyperbolic posts.

It's awfully difficult to graciously admit when you're wrong for someone who's just "not taking this too seriously". Also, I find it hilarious that you excuse these ridiculous absolute statements you make as just "having fun" when you're dead wrong, because when you hit on something, you go miles out of your way to let everyone know about. Look at your first dozen posts in this thread for proof of that.

Oh, so a message board poster is best friends with Jimmy Haslam's dead gay niece, and that's your source for multiple teams having Kamara listed as the best RB in the draft?

Name them.

And how are you privy to this information?

Browns. Read the rumor on a browns fan forum from an alleged insider that the other posters trusted.

You should be happy to know the Browns allegedly have OJ Howard rated as the #9 overall player on their board. There's a good chance he might be their pick at #12 overall if he's available.

Solid proof.

Its weird how you just pivot from "he will run a 4.3" to "he's more quick than fast" thinking no one will notice. I hope you dont do that in real life because everyone will hate you, even if they dont say it to your face.

If you haven't noticed by now, I don't care what other people think about me.

I just do me.

So by "teamS" you meant "one team."

I would never wish such evil on OJ.

Literally an hour and a half ago, at 1:11 pm, you "called" that he'd show world class speed and run a 4.3 flat. Now you're just nonchalantly "oh well, he's more quick than fast". Lol. You're unbelievable man.

40 yards isn't that long. I made the mistake of thinking that elite initial burst would be strong enough to carry him to an elite 40 time. Obviously that didn't happen.

Still doesn't change my opinion of him. I always knew his top end speed wasn't that great. He got caught from behind way too much on tape. But those were typically runs where he's already more than 40 yards downfield.

I was hoping he could get past 40 yards before his lack of great top end speed exposed itself.

Yeah, where's that rant at? You know...the one where you went full Nic Cage after a loss and turned on everybody wearing orange...
