Kamara Showing Out

Fournette has world class speed at 240 just not in the first 5 yards or so.

Just no. Fournette, for anyone that's watched him play, is obviously very fast for such a large back. The only way "world class" comes into the conversation however is if you don't know what that means.

Kamara's 40 and bench weren't that impressive. His game tape and ability, are, however. That's what really matters.

If you take out the first 10 yards he has world class speed not from the blocks... meaning he gets up the speed his top end is probably much higher than all these guys. Donte Jackson's top end speed is behind Fournettee, now from the blocks Jackson is going to beat him. Now with that said, there are plenty of guys quicker meaning first 5-10 yards and change of direction kind of thing.

Fournette's tape and 40 solidified him as the top RB and he will most likely be a top 5 pick. I think Cook has tested well enough to be the 2nd RB off the board, with AK being 3rd. I think AK goes late first, which is a big deal, with this RB class being a very good one.

I disagree about top end speed but kamaras acceleration and cutting speed is better than all imo. Once an ACL is torn though that is diminished. That's why being one of those type of backs is so tough because one injury could be career ending.

Kamara is much faster in and out of breaks, has explosiveness, as evidenced by vertical and broad jump stats. That doesn't necessarily translate to a fast 40

No. Butch Jones is just stupid.

Remember it took injuries for Dobbs to also see the field.

That last sentence is pretty disingenuous considering they were hoping to redshirt him his freshman and sophomore years. It's not like they just thought he sucked and couldn't compete with Worley/Peterman/Ferguson. It's not much different than saying "Remember, it took injuries for Peyton to see the field"

I think McCaffrey goes before Kamara. Kamara early to mid-2nd, which is basically where I figured he'd go before today.

McCaffrey hasn't tested well at all and has a ton of touches from Stanford. Think he drops early to mid-second.

He ran a sub-4.5, which is nothing to sneeze at. I don't think anyone ever thought he was a burner. His receiving ability is beyond every other back's. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if McCaffrey's card reads "wide receiver" at the draft.

It would highly surprise me lol. He can still run the ball really well. That would be like saying dobbs card reads "wide receiver"

Kamara getting more commentator talk time than any of the backs. They all seem to really think very highly of his skill set. A good cone drill should lock him in as a very good pick.

LSU has clocks the players top end speed in-game Fournette is the top, he has faster top end then Jackson in-game... what this means is when they get up to top speed... Fournette will gain ground on Jackson even though from a block (track) Jackson would probably dust him in a 40, 60, but when you get out to 100 it gets close again. Nobody catches Fournette down the field, Guice gets caught all the time. :) If you allow Fournette to put a foot in the ground and allow him to go N/S and get up to full speed, he is world class at that point.

I'm talking top end speed and Fournette is not close to "world class".

I'm assuming you're an LSU fan. Holliday is more in line with "world class" and would drop Fournette like a dead fish from zero to anything. I have no issues whatsoever in saying Fournette is a pretty freakish combination of size and speed but, c'mon man.

D4H is a terrible role model. Don't follow his example of giving traits to players they don't possess.

I'm not disagreeing about fournette in anyway, wasn't even talking about him lol I was talking about kamara. I don't think fournette will be all that successful in the NFL because I question his work ethic and have a feeling he is going to end up like Jamarcus Russell.

If you are talking from the blocks, yes, Holliday is the same as Jackson from the blocks he would toast him... not top end though. Fournette has the highest top end recorded by LSU this year, and that was during the Ole Miss game in which he probably shouldn't have even played.
