Kamara Has Earned The Start Next Week

One fumble unless you're saying Dobbs fumble is on Kamara as well. I can't remember if Kamara was on the field for that play but if so, i don't know many backs that can block the best pass rusher in the country. Me and VFL34 have the exact same opinion. I think I'm going to side with the guy that's played and been successful at UT over a mother/uncle that thinks they're on the team because they have a relative that plays. Fans are funny, right? Stop trashing Alvin in other threads for a team loss. You make it seem like with Jalen the team is unbeatable. Half of the defensive starters were or got injured yesterday, having them would've helped too. Kamara was NOT the problem and if you continue to say he was (blaming him for ALL the turnovers and using innuendo to say he can't pass protect), it proves someone is scared that their golden ticket in life may lose some reps. Just sad. Stop being salty.

Not really salty at all. Everyone wants to discuss facts and that's what I'm doing. Alvin's fumbled 5 times already this year. He's a great back, and phenomenal in his own right, but to say he's earned the start after one game. Uh, no, that's not happening. Thankfully our coaches are not that dumb either.

Well really he should have been starting all along because of the system we Run. But if the coaches do get a little smarter and start Kamara don't go getting butthurt because Hurd is not starting. Just saying

It's simple, kamara starts next week. He is the better back in this system.

Had a question for you do you think it's better for one back to get in a rhythm by getting alot of in game touches or splitting carries so both have fresh legs?

Btw I didn't mean to tear down Hurd..he is a special back and I hope he gets the record and makes lots of money in the league

A&M fan here.

Kamara absolutely should start ahead of Hurd. Dude as tough as nails and can do things that Hurd can't. Hurd can't do anything that Kamara can't.

And that back up running back: Kelly - he's going to be a beast.

Course, we have a pretty good one on our own here in Trayveon Williams.

Sure do your guy is good. Coach Gillespie said we had 3 NFL backs guess that wasn't just coach speak

Hurd is a beast. Love to use Kamara but hes dropsy prone. definitely give him some more touches.

Lmao who dropped a touchdown pass last week? Kamara is the better option. What he did yesterday was amazing. Just because I say that doesn't mean that I'm not an Hurd fan, just fyi.

Are you saying he is the only one to fumble in his career here? Others have just as much. Kamara was awesome yesterday and isnt it suppose to be about what is better for the team? Good ****ing grief.

Great performance by Kamara. Definitely should get half the touches every game in some fashion. That dude was spent. Left it all on the field. He was totally exhausted.

Minimum of 15 touches, and that is the bare minimum. He is to electric. Reminds me of Jeff demps

Earlier in this thread you hoped that Alvin got the start and he deserved it. Now it would be dumb to start him and the coaches would be asinine to do so? Come on. When Travis Stephens agrees Kamara deserves the start, do you think you may be looking through rose colored glasses since this is personal to you? I haven't detracted Jalen ONCE on this forum, all I say is he splits snaps with Kamara down the middle. Kamara adds an extra dimension to the RB position in a way that Josh Dobbs mobility added to the QB position as opposed to the pro style players we used initially. He adds versatility and has the ability to make men miss in a way that Jalen cannot. And when it's 3rd and short or we're at the goal line guess who I want in the lineup? JALEN EVERY TIME. Football players are role players and no one is bigger than the team. Youve complained that Jalen has been wasted in this offense running into nothing but brick walls and acknowledged that Kamara fits the system better, yet still think Jalen should be the exclusive ball carrier? Maybe if Kamara gets more snaps it will get the defense off balance, winded and actually open up more holes for Jalen. This could help him get more yards and more explosive plays while also preserving his body from the constant pounding he is getting in the current system. It could very well be in his best interest, physically and statistically, but your motives blind you.

But man kamara looked outstanding. And I told you all about jelly! He is gonna be something else

If you are stephens, thanks for the good times. Having said that, I feel you told us what anyone who has watched could tell and that Kelly is good. Lastly, I blame you for legitimizing 74 by saying things like you all should apologize to 74. Look, Hurd is being piled onto simply bc of 74. He has instigated a Hurd against UT fans mentality when it should be let's all try to win. Instead of defending a so called family member for revealing injury secrets and you may have been spreading injury info as well, maybe we should Jones it and respect Hurds' right to privacy. Go Vols and again im happy you were a Vol if you reallt are Stephens.

Anybody up for starting a GOFUNDME page for obnoxious distant family members of Vol players?? The money could be used to purchase flowing floor length orange satin capes where large white block letters are on the back where titles like "Jalen's Uncle!!!" are in flashing lights as well?? The purpose is when they are at Neyland or the DQ in Hendersonville everyone knows who they are so those there can pay homage and take the knee. Who's witrh me???

I hope they do start Alvin. I'm sure he'll do great against Bama next week. And not my kid, but close enough nonetheless.

Alvin does deserve more touches as he's a great back, but this thread (and the board in general) just pisses on the big guy. How many games has Jalen helped UT win? Nobody remembers that though right? What if Jalen played tonight? You think he'd put up decent numbers against that porous, Swiss cheese run defense? You better be careful before you crown a new king.
reall6, Jalens out and UT hits 700+ yads on offense and it's due to bad defense. I guess aTm isn't Ohio or Appy State, which Hurd continually fell down on first contact. whatever.

I think it's Mom or a close friend under an alias. I'm leaning towards mom. I doubt his actual uncle would come on this site airing the family business without the family hearing about it and telling him to shut up. So whoever is saying all this has the green light, which is why I lean towards Mom or a best friend. It's immature and not helping Hurd. If this "family member" cared about ahwlen they wouldn't be causing a divide just to get some of the attention on themselves.

Saturday proved what even the casual fan already knew.Kamara is the play maker on this team. Why it took an injury for him to be featured as the go to guy is unbelievable.

I am greedy . I want to see them All 3 every game . Beat the D to death by the half, just keep getting fresh legs . This is a terrible problem to have . Argue away though .

This line " This is a terrible problem to have . " is sarcasm for those without meters .

Kamara needs to be the starter plain and simple and then they can put hurd and kamara on the field together and use hurd as a lead blocker for kamara with hurd taking the dive play 15 to 20 touches a game. I think we have finally seen the wide open offense that we have had all along. If tennessee can start playing offense like they have the 2nd half we would be unstopable....

We need to find a way to use both of their skill sets more effectively and to work Kelly into the rotation more, too. It's not win-lose; it needs to be win-win.

I hope Jalen is healed up and good to go against Bama. We'll need a 1-2 punch against Bama's stout D.

Quit playing the victim. It doesn't do Jalen any favors. You could probably take a page out of his mom's book who posts on Volquest and show a little class. Hopefully he takes more after her than his jackwagon uncle who gets his jollies off lumping the fans together and railing on them. Not to mention if Jalen didn't want his medical condition to get out, you pretty much betrayed his trust. Some family member.

With both getting rest during the game, they should be able punish defenses late in any game. Sprinkle some Kelly on to spell JH and AK and we should put up 200-300 yds. on anybody.
