Kamara Future of Running Backs

Botch plays favorites and people that have been here longer. That is a major reason for our failures.

People were saying this, even a couple years ago, and I didn't think it was true. Its obvious now. There's a lot of young talent on this current team (mainly defense) and its shown in the minimal minutes they have received. Im not a football expert, but it sure looks like Shamburger should have been getting lots of minutes and there are a number of players like him that should be playing more. I think its just another area where Butch's overt conservatism shows and is one of the bigger reasons he will be gone. If you have talent, you have to play them. They don't have to start or even play 50% of the snaps, but you have to play them in every game. Depth cant be built solely in practice and in mop up duty.

After the QB's that left and seem to be doing great elsewhere, I finally had the light to go off. Player development has been so lacking to say the least. How good would Dobbs have been under a good QB coach? Dobbs4Heisman might have been close to the truth.
