Tennessee will be without five players for Thursday night’s season opener against Ball State. The Vols announced in pregame that linebacker Juwan Mitchell, wide receiver Chas Nimrod, tight end Miles Campbell and defensive backs Dee Williams and De’Shawn Rucker will not play against the Cardinals — no reasons were given for their absences. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
Freshman Nimrod, redshirt freshman Campbell and Rucker were not listed on the depth chart Tennessee allowed earlier this week, but Mitchell was bracketed as a co-starter with Aaron Beasley at Mike linebacker and Williams was listed as a backup cornerback and bracketed with Trevon Flowers as Tennessee’s punt returner.
Is it just pre-ordained by the football Gods that we never get any help from the state of Texas? Seems like we always have trouble with recruits/transfers from the lone Star state.
so much fall practice talk about how good Mitchell looked and that he beat out Beasley. Dang it!
If only TN had helped the state of TX in the past, like sending riflemen to their war of independence, or giving them a TN governor to lead their army.Maybe then they'd be more willing to help us out.Is it just pre-ordained by the football Gods that we never get any help from the state of Texas?
