Just throwing this out there for thoughts, would we be better off burning Dobbs red shirt or take Pig n put him at QB? Was he not a high school QB? He knows the play book, he's moblie and fast, and if I remember right he has a good enough arm to throw short routes n balance the O. Thoughts?
I am not a particular fan of either guy. When the debate about the QB "competition" was going on... I just paid attention to what was being done along with what was being said and concluded that Worley was that starter and that it wasn't close. For weeks, we had all kinds of banter... then after Worley was named several reporters came out and acknowledged that it had never really been as close as people thought.
What we know about Dobbs and Peterman is that Dobbs performed well when the lights came on last year. He made Fr mistakes but didn't lose his head. He showed some nice skills but made mistakes that you would expect a Fr to make... and especially playing with the WR's available to him last year.
Peterman has played twice in competitive situations. Both times he panicked and made very risky plays with the ball. Neither time was he particularly effective. Many have suggested that had Worley not missed the series that NP played vs UGA... UT would have won.
I love Worley's heart. I've always given him more credit for talent than most here. BUT there should not be that much of a drop off if Peterman is anywhere close to being ready to start.
Worley sucks, play Peterman! Peterman sucks, play Worley! Play Dobbs! Dobbs isn't the answer, play Peterman! Peterman sucks and Worley is awesome! Worley sucks! Dobbs is the answer! Fire Butch?
C'mon, MAN!
whats this i hear that Worley has a torn "Labrum" and is out for the season? Ive heard this from 3 other people that cant give me a solid source.
On 94.9 in Nashville the Tennessee segment with Austin Price discussed the QB situation tomorrow.
Per Austin Price, Worley has not thrown one pass all week in practice. He will be out against Bama and possible several games to follow.
Our chances agaisnt USCjr and Missouri probably just went in the tank with this news..........
This probably explains the poor play against Ole Miss from Worley.
