he then followed that up with average to bad defenses at USC, Wisconsin and California

I hated his approach. Lay back passively, and hope the other team shoots themselves in the foot. (Or, themselves in the feet? Or they self in the foot? Whatever. Didn't like it.)

Wilcox’s best defense here ranked #36 nationally. Banks defense ranked 7th nationally last year. So how was he better than Banks?

Banks is doing great as a DC HE DOESNT GO ON THE FIELD AND PLAY!!!! Youe not going to have the number one defense in the country every year

Numbers don’t lie. Please tell me how Wilcox was better than Banks is using actual data. I will wait.

Wait you’re just joking around right? Banks SUCKS man take away Rodney Garner and our defense isn’t good at all. I think Coach Chop and Coach Inge have a chance to be ok but Banks coaches safeties and correct me if I’m wrong but that is our weakest position on defense. Banks is not that good. I’m just praying VT wants to reunite him with Franklin. I will take Wilcox all day long before banks

I wouldn't be shocked if Penn state didn't come after Banks.

Cal just fired him. He was a decent DC here. Wonder if he would have any interest coming back? I know he is a west coast guy but wasn’t sure if it was a culture shock that had him go back west or didn’t like the HC (Dooley)

Wilcox hated it here and it wasn’t only working for Dooley.He cited recruiting in the SEC was cutthroat so he wasn’t cut out for it.Move along as it’s already been said our next DC is on staff and named William Inge.Personally if I were Heup I would call MTSU’s head coach who makes 900k and gauge his interest in becoming a well paid coordinator.
