If this is true...so much for not screwing another team on NSD.

The report also says dooley left ruston in december to become coach in knoxville. The media has a real problem with facts and research! Blame it on Al Gore!

Two points... first BSUs class isn`t that big nor do they have that many schollys to offer.

Second... They probably didn`t want it to come out until late today or early tommorow. The fact that it has been so long up in the air is proof enough they really didn`t want to impact anyone adversely.

This isn't their head coach we are talking about dude...and the deal probably won't green light until after NSD. Besides...we're Tennessee...not a WAC MAC CRAP whatever team they are.

Wilcox's defense shut down Oregon's high-flying offense last season. I hope we can say the same this season.

I was more or less mocking all the rumors that we're going to hire Smart, Steele, Withers, Gardner, Bumpas, etc. but not until after NSD b/c we're now a classy organization.

Boise St. has won 2 BCS games in the last 5 years...how many have we played in?

Boise states offese is good there D is very susceptible. So so teams were able to shut down tcu equally well. Oregon was just stupid with there offensive play calling. They only gave James the ball twice and didn't quite realize that blount wasn't there guy. If they would have use James from the start the score would have been way different. If you throw out TCU and Oregon as well as Hawaii who is just utter garbage running the ball, they had a very mediocre defensive season against very average teams. He plays for the interception and that is it, we will get eaten alive by his D schemes next year. Hopefully with our high octane offense we won't need a DC.

Wow...so, you're saying if you throw out 1/4 of the season then, and only then can we judge the BSU D?

I know BSU is returning 21 of 22 starters and have a legitimate shot at the BCS title game if they beat Va Tech. They will start the season in the Top 6-7 at the worst which means they don't have to climb that far. I would think hard before I left that program right now. They are worshipped where they are. I mean what ELSE is there to do in Idaho??

It's about $$$$, for one thing. I believe he's only making $250K.

If he truly believes in his defense he will see a championship next year at Boise. There offense is pretty potent. If he comes here he has another 3-5 years before he gets the looks at being an HC. Of corse he could be in a midlife crisis point now and is unsure of what to do. He isn't married and no kids. Wait till the stress of family comes and see if he can cope. I'm suprised LA tech didn't offer him the HC position.

I just don't see how this is a good thing for CLT. if we lose him by bringing him in I'll be upset as a brown Twinkie.

4-2-5 or 3-3-5 a lot they do try the 4-3 but can't seem to stop the run no matter what. Is Venables still available?

You sound like a broken record. You have posted 50 posts saying the same thing over and over. It is almost like you have a personal vendetta against Wilcox. Are you an ex-girlfriend or something?

Dooley has a pretty good history of picking coaches. He recommended Smart and Muschamp to Saban when they were unknowns.

Here is the UTK coaches photo showing Wilcox. It isn't available yet but one of the guys at the AD sent this to a friend earlier.

Player Bio: Justin Wilcox - TENNESSEE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

Here is the link they haven't quite finished it yet, it was hidden. So, it is 100% confirmed now.

I do wish him luck even though I am one of his most negative supporters. Kinda of like not trusting that guy that wants to take your daughter on her first date.
