per UTsports.com..
Talk about Coach McKeefery, you mentioned gaining 10 pounds. What did you do during the summer working with him and how has he prepared you for camp?
"He's had us doing a lot of explosive lifts and had us on weight-gain plans. Lifting heavy every day has put a lot of pounds on me. He's also got me to jump higher and run faster too."

Wow..thats sounds exciting to me..:dance2:
:loco:

I am also excited about this comment from justin:

Who has impressed you the most since returning to campus?
"Matt Milton. He had a big chip on his shoulder so he's worked really hard. He has come in with the mindset of getting better."

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Justin Hunter will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster.

With all the talk of our players improvements in strenth and conditioning, I won't be to suprised at a COUPLE of upsets this year. If we had not run out of gas in second half play last year, our freshman team could have held there own against anybody. It sounds like that won't be a problem this year. I see us doing alot more of this :td: in the third and fourth quarters this season.....I hope this isn't the orange koolaid talking, but either way I am glad to see the improvements

But I remember last year players were saying they were getting much bigger faster and stronger under the old s&c coach...hopefully it's true this time, I just hope we are in enough shape to not die in the fourth quarter like we did last year

I can't even imagine JH jumping higher than he was last year. He is going to be a huge threat anywhere on the field. Can't wait to see the improvements transfer to the gridiron come 36 days!

Right? Last year the board creamed itself when someone posted a pic of Bennie Wylie in a hoodie during fall camp.

I really hope he don't knock himself out jumping up for one in the endzone. you know that cross member could become an issue for him:loco:

Wylie was hyped and played the part. McKeef is the real deal that has the track record and award to prove it.

It's going to be great to watch our players helping the other teams players up after fourth quarter plays, telling them it will be allright we only have about 10 more minutes then you guys can go rest....watching the other teams struggling for a change while our guys are still fresh.....Yep I AM SOOO READY for the season to start.....

This was from a patrickbrownTFP tweet.

RT @MattDixon3: Young said before [strength coach Ron] McKeefery arrived only one player could squat more than 500lbs. Now? "Over 28 guys."

While this all sounds promising and I hope its true, I recall many comments last year about how the new (now former) S&C was doing wonders with the players.

We were mostly blinded by Bennie wearing sweatshirts in the summer. Sweatpants too. What an animal.
