Hunter has a great NFL future. He's tall and can run and leap like a deer. He just needs to get stronger, but he's definitely athletic enough. I really think he was the best freshman WR in college last yr and I don't say that about many TN players. With this WR corps and Bray this year I'd do 3 things; 1. throw 2. throw 3. you should know what this one is.

I agree on all but needs weight and strength to be a NFL WR which will hurt his track skills. He is a great athlete but is going to have to focus on football and his track skills will be there for a fall back. The guy has what it takes can't wait to see our three wide this year. GBO!

I think his future is in track and field , unless he gets serious about getting bigger and stronger.

Which would you rather do? Go through rigorous pre-season training, get pounded year after year by professional headhunters, and constantly be at risk of a major career ending injury OR practicing gliding through the air as if on a winged chariot while landing in beach like sand at the end of your journey.

Toss up?

The good sign to this is it shows where his goals are in his head. He sees the NFL as his next career step; even if it comes at the end of his junior year.

For a while, many (including me) questioned where his focus was in regards to a football career or track career. Now we know.....

Factor in the amount of money you make and the fame you get in the NFL and I'd take that any day even if it does involve more work.

I guess it depends on your personality. Do you prefer team sports? Do you prefer to get out there and hit and be hit?

I'm thinking that Hunter ends up in the NFL.

Does this suggest that he is not currently happy here? Like he's just encouraging himself to keep working because, you know, two years isn't that long when you really think about it.

I think just the opposite...it suggests that he is a self-aware man who realizes he needs at least 2 more years under Coach Bagett to make the NFL.

Or it could mean that his goal is to make it to the NFL and he plans to do everything in his power to make sure that happens in 2 years, when he is first eligible to enter.

You don't get compared to AJ Green coming out of highschool and not expect to play in the NFL ASAP.

Justin hunter,Tyler bray and Da rick rodgers will all be first round draft picks in 2 years and they will leave a legacy at UT.

I would be very surprised if Justin doesn't leave after his Junior year. If i were an NFL scout I would already be drooling over his athletic ability

I don't wanna sound like a pessimist, but i don't see him reaching the potential he's capable of unless he quits track. He has got to gain weight and muscle. I mean he's good now but he is way to skinny and weak right now to be a major nfl wide out. Add some 15 pounds or so and he would be all world. But, with being a long jumper, they are supposed to be that size and remain skinny like he is. So as long as he is pursuing his track career I don't see him reaching the potential he has. JMO

I could care less what he does... Dooley can find talent to replace him and it looks really good to recruits that we put someone in the Olympics. Justin will do what he pleases and we should all support a fellow Vol. G B O
