He doesnt need a redshirt but he will play 3 full years at UT I think. He will come back next year and dominate but that wont be enough to put him in the top 10 of the draft. If Bray comes back, which we all hope he does. So will Hunter. Plus we go to Oregon and thats a homecoming for Bray in a way.
If I were Hunter and just injured my ACL, a draft spot anywhere in the first round after next year and I'm gone. I suspect unless Bray beefs up to about 225 he could stay for 4 years, especially if he has a shot at a heisman. Rogers is gone regardless.
JMO.
Please enlighten me as what he needs to improve on to be NFL ready?
He will medical redshirt just in case.
Everyone talks about how pointless it is. Yes, most likely he will leave early. There is no reason for him not to take the medical redshirt in case he was to decide to stay.
Why close options you don't have to?
he will have to prove that this knee issue is completely resolved. it is certainly not a given that he is back to where he has been by next season. I wouldn't just assume he comes back in 2012 like he was playing this year. it could take 2 years to show he is healthy. Would not be the first player that took that long to recover from a knee problem
I don't know. Bigger guys usually take longer, but Hunter has a small frame and is a supremely trained athlete. Without having to leverage much upper body weight and with his conditioning, I would think his rehab would be on the lower end of the spectrum.
That is assuming that he puts in the work.
This has probably been asked b4, can Hunter get a redshirt if he got hurt that early in his 3rd game? Would it need to be a medical redshirt? He has so much talent to have gotten injured that early, I don't know what the rules are?
If we light it up next year and Bray stays, I just think Rogers and or Hunter will follow suit.
