Justin Hunter - Redshirt?

See. This guy knows. Our big 3 on offense have a special bond, and I could see them all staying.

Well I hope you are right.... but I also used to hope that I would be a NFL QB... one is about as likely to happen as the other

FWIW, Rucker has at least talked to Hunter before, and he feels that Hunter is a 3 year player and will leave early ... i even saw a re-tweet one time where Hunter essentially said, 2 more years then NFL

Just watchin him play, I'm worried Bray will leave early, too. IMO, his size is the only thing holding him back.

I'd love to see them stay 4 years, but they're all pretty damn good

The Bray staying part is a big if.

Even if Hunter gets the redshirt (I think he will), I doubt he will need the 3 years of eligibility.

That's what I meant. I do not expect Bray to come back for his senior year. That said, I agree that if one of them stay, all three will stay.

what makes you guys think that those three future super stars will stay? do you think or do you want?

He will medical redshirt just in case.

Everyone talks about how pointless it is. Yes, most likely he will leave early. There is no reason for him not to take the medical redshirt in case he was to decide to stay.

Why close options you don't have to?

He doesnt need a redshirt but he will play 3 full years at UT I think. He will come back next year and dominate but that wont be enough to put him in the top 10 of the draft. If Bray comes back, which we all hope he does. So will Hunter. Plus we go to Oregon and thats a homecoming for Bray in a way.

Top 10 doesn't matter. He will be a first rounder after next year.

Also, how is Oregon a homecoming for Bray who is from souther Cali 1000 miles away from Autzen?

In any case, I would love to have all three around for 4 years, but we may be lucky to have even 1 around for 4 years. While it would be unusual to have all 3 actually go in the first round, it is only a projection that they will be basing their decisions on and it would not be entirely crazy to think that each one could individually project as first or early second rounders.

If I were Hunter and just injured my ACL, a draft spot anywhere in the first round after next year and I'm gone. I suspect unless Bray beefs up to about 225 he could stay for 4 years, especially if he has a shot at a heisman. Rogers is gone regardless.

I think this just about sums it up. Bray seems the most likely to stay based solely on physical development. Physically Rogers is already there. Hunter will be after next year. It looks like our 2013 season hinges on how many Oreos Bray consumes between now and then.

I see Justin Hunter getting a medical red shirt this year, but I think he will leave after his senior year. He will still have a year of eligibility left, but Rogers and Bray will be leaving so he will go too. JMO

Please enlighten me as what he needs to improve on to be NFL ready?

Just think, like I said before, that Bray coming back for his senior year could definitely lead to one or both of these fellas returning.

He's got NFL written all over him. He'll stay four years if he wants to win back to back national titles :p

he will have to prove that this knee issue is completely resolved. it is certainly not a given that he is back to where he has been by next season. I wouldn't just assume he comes back in 2012 like he was playing this year. it could take 2 years to show he is healthy. Would not be the first player that took that long to recover from a knee problem

it wouldn't close. he can take it 2-3 years from now..I'm certain Tennessee will process the paperwork now but the door won't shut if they don't. imo

I don't know. Bigger guys usually take longer, but Hunter has a small frame and is a supremely trained athlete. Without having to leverage much upper body weight and with his conditioning, I would think his rehab would be on the lower end of the spectrum.

That is assuming that he puts in the work.

may very well be true. but at this juncture, it is all an assumption..

I think we may all be assuming these guys will just continue to get better and be great, I hope thats the case but none of them are sure first rounders at this point.

This has probably been asked b4, can Hunter get a redshirt if he got hurt that early in his 3rd game? Would it need to be a medical redshirt? He has so much talent to have gotten injured that early, I don't know what the rules are?

this is the idiot post of the week. he still has two years of eligablity left and if he decides to stay for that (his fourth) it would be a mircle. We don't need to petition to get this med redshirt. If he stays here for 3 more years there is a bigger issue. He is going to be a 1st draft pick after next year. another Eric Berry son:peace2:

If we light it up next year and Bray stays, I just think Rogers and or Hunter will follow suit.

You know, I've been hoping this might happen, yet probably won't. The perfect situation would be to get at least into a BCS bowl game next year, and they all decide to come back for one more year together to win it all! Well, I can at least think about it.

Frankly, if Justin comes back at 100% next year, I think he would be afraid of another injury, and will take the opportunity when it comes to get in the draft. But how sweet would it be to have them all for 2 more years? Add in a great RB, and just stand aside.
