It's like at Calhouns when vol calls is there. Does Dooley sit out there with the crowd? Do they only let certain people in? Tonight it seemed as he if was in a hurry to get out by just listening

Do you really think he wants to be out there with a lot of people who probably don't have overly kind words for him?

I think it is time for Dooley to be let go, however I would never say anything distasteful to him in person. By all indications he is a good man and I'd treat him with respect as I do everyone else. If he is getting harassed in public that just goes to prove that some people need to develop a little more class.

Amen! Dooley has done nothing so distasteful as fans who have heckled him in front of his family. He has coached our team while displaying great amounts of integrity and without bringing the NCAA smelling around campus.

Yeah, I know he hasn't won the "big games," but instead of shooting our own while he is down, we should thank him for what he HAS done. While I do not like his win/loss record at UT, did not believe he had the experience to coach at a major college on the D-1 level... even more I dislike the stupid things people say to him and his family.

If you want him fired, that is your right. I would prefer him to resign with a reasonable severance package, and an experienced SEC level HC hired to replace him. However, all of my communication with Dooley has been of the type that I can go to church on Sunday mornings and not feel convicted of having made insensitive and stupidity remarks to Dooley. I have emailed Jimmy Cheek and Dave Hart, sharing with them my concerns about the football program, but have done so in a civil attitude and tone... and in a way that I would not become embarrassed if my wife, daughter, or pastor were to see those emails.

Come on folks! We're from the three great states of Tennessee! Let's not have the world around us believing that we're backwoods idiots who would marry our own sisters! Let's show those around us that even Tennessee hillbillies and flat-landers are a people of decency. We're The University of Tennessee! That is something to be proud of! Go Vols!!! ><>

Were they really chatting "Gruden"? I didn't hear VolCalls this week.

carpbc is correct. If Derek is truly a man and a VFL, he will resign with a reasonable severance package and not hold the great University of Tennessee hostage with this ridiculous $5 million buyout.

If Fulmer didn't give up his buyout from the school he graduated from and spent the better part of 30+ years coaching, no way in hell Dooley walks away from his buyout after three years and no prior allegiance.

The complete lack of maturity and class around here is pathetic.

I hope people everywhere understand that most that come here to VN are less that 1/10 of 1% of the real Tennessee fans and a much smaller % of people that live in the great State of Tennessee.

VFL...GBO!!!
