Just what I expected!

I am not trying to flame or disrespect anybody. Just cause some knuckleheads in the media say you guys are better and should win does not make it so. We have plenty of talent. You guys were playing Penn State not some small time program. For so many on here to whine after losing head to head for a third straight time is a sign of denial or stupidity! Yes you got outcoached, but don't make it look as if our boys can't match up with yours. I think we all know that has been proven to be false yet again.

Though you use it make us out to be idiots, your argument about TN having lost for the third consecutive time is making you sound like a complete idiot. How about this argument - TN won a national championship in 1998 and PSU in 1986, hence TN's program is dramatically better than PSU's program.

I'm betting you and I can argue historical stats all day long that make our respective schools better than all of the others. However, none of that is remotely relevant to the strength of the teams today.

PSU won the game and are very clearly the more talented of the two teams. That said, am I now a man in your eyes.

I know that we have more than you do. I know that you are just as suprised that you won as we are that we lost. It was a pretty big upset. The better team didn't win yesterday.

Actaully dude, I knew we had played some of the best teams in the country well and I knew that the SEC is so overhyped and cocky that fans like you would just naturally assume you were gonna roll us. I also expected the media to go against us, what else is new. Unlike you, I watch football from other conferences and don't buy into the hype. UT is good, but no better than PSU. Infact, our history is far superior. So, get off your high horse and give some credit.

umm. dont even begin to talk about historys. UT's is far superior. We were one of the first teams to actually travel to go play competition. We were traveling around playing the best while you guys were wearing pink and black.

UT has 6 national championships. PSU has nothing without Paterno. He'll be gone soon and you'll be left with nothing.

It is highly doubtful that this guy is versed enough in PSU history to even know they once wore Pink and Black.

When I found out we would be playing UT in the bowl game I started visiting this site to see what your expectations were. Having lived in the South for 10 years, I am well aware of the SEC only mentality the exists. After we have now defeated UT in a bowl game for the 3rd consecutive time, I would think you could find atleast one poster on this site that could muster up enough dignity to say, "Hey, Penn State beat us. It was a game of two equally matched teams, and today they made more plays to win the game." Instead all you hear are the cries of denial, that PSU is not any good and that UT justed played poorly. Or that you have more talent than us. Take off your SEC and Orange glasses and see the whole football world. Sometimes you just got to be a man and give others credit!

Maybe you should have posted your thoughts and predictions before the game instead of taking the easy way out and only posting IF you won. At least the people on this site were confident enough to do so.

For the record, I thought Penn State was tough draw and I knew it wouldn't be a easy win at the end of the year. I'd probably even congratulate you if you did something other than show up the day after and try to rub it in.

counting NCs before the invention of the forward pass is ridiculous

Translation: Counting (stat that benefits the other team more then mine) is ridiculous.

Proof? He discredits NCs but mentions bowl record the last two years.

i believe we switch the coaching staff's UT wins by 20+ points. most of my friends in big ten country ( mainly ohio) said we were better at almost every position, but played like crap. they also realize UT is no threat to any good team no more. basically our coaching sucks.

You know I have never liked the Nittany Lions, and here is why, I went to a bowl game I believe the Citrus bowl when I was younger, we played these guys and we were getting killed by like twenty if i recall right. Well, put it this way I don't remember the score but, what I do remember was a couple of their A HOLE band members coming and sitting two rows behind our band and taunting us by playing rocky top. from that point on I hated them. Anyway after the game we had to hear from their fans about how they were the greatest team ever, and they love Joe Pa, and they love to make love to their mother, and sister, and first cousin... All at the same time. BLah, BLah, BLah, I could Care less if they won another game just because of clowns like this clueless joker.

I witnessed yesterday one of their classy fans picking up an orange pom pom and displaying it to the UT players as they walked off the field. I will say, most of their fans were fine, but guess the bad ones stand out.

I did notice that their fans were into the game, whereas most of the UT fans in my section sat on their hands.

If you live out west, you would think your league is the best as well. The same goes for Big 10 and SEC fans.No one is better than your own league.Penn State simply won the game because they held on to the ball. You and I both know that both of our teams, UT and PSU are a far cry from the programs we use to be.The elite tag applies to neither school based on our won/loss records of late. The big question is how good will we (both) be next year.I don't think either team burned it up this year.Congrats though, you guys earned it.Just so you know, my wife is from Michigan and I pulled for them yesterday!

Sorry, I usually just read and stay out of it, but when did this happen? Are you talking women's BBall. I live in TN, you have two, 1951 and 1998. Tell me you aren't using the Alabamian calulator to come up with this. All right, I'll play...Notre Dame has 21 National Championships....Go Irish!

After undefeated, unscored-upon seasons, teams are often awarded national championships. Using the polls that are recognized by the NCAA, UT has 6 championships.

i am a Notre Dame fan.

Tennessee is more talented than PSU, but their coach is awful. UT actually has one of the most talented teams in the nation.

PSU played the best game of their year and Morelli was better than his usual incompetence... Hunt played incredible.

Trust me, if you want kudos and congrats from a losing team, don't go on to their board flaming and looking for your fill.... and don't flame them while you are at it.

PSU won, and I am glad... I like PSU... I root for PSU b/c of their upstanding program and their class. But, I am willing to call a spade a spade.

UT has more talent... they didn't show up to the game... this has been the plague that has affected them for years. PSU came in and proved everyone wrong.... including me (I thought UT would blow PSU out). The two teams, however, were not even close to being equally matched in talent.

domer, for once, you and I are in total agreement.:banghead2: :banghead2:
