Just what I expected!

When I found out we would be playing UT in the bowl game I started visiting this site to see what your expectations were. Having lived in the South for 10 years, I am well aware of the SEC only mentality the exists. After we have now defeated UT in a bowl game for the 3rd consecutive time, I would think you could find atleast one poster on this site that could muster up enough dignity to say, "Hey, Penn State beat us. It was a game of two equally matched teams, and today they made more plays to win the game." Instead all you hear are the cries of denial, that PSU is not any good and that UT justed played poorly. Or that you have more talent than us. Take off your SEC and Orange glasses and see the whole football world. Sometimes you just got to be a man and give others credit!

Back the nittany truck up pal , go back and re-read some posts, most of what I have read states that we were outcoached and outplayed. My hat is off to Penn State, but don't lump the whole nation into one pot there bud.

i am a Notre Dame fan.

Tennessee is more talented than PSU, but their coach is awful. UT actually has one of the most talented teams in the nation.

PSU played the best game of their year and Morelli was better than his usual incompetence... Hunt played incredible.

Trust me, if you want kudos and congrats from a losing team, don't go on to their board flaming and looking for your fill.... and don't flame them while you are at it.

PSU won, and I am glad... I like PSU... I root for PSU b/c of their upstanding program and their class. But, I am willing to call a spade a spade.

UT has more talent... they didn't show up to the game... this has been the plague that has affected them for years. PSU came in and proved everyone wrong.... including me (I thought UT would blow PSU out). The two teams, however, were not even close to being equally matched in talent.

Buckethead, how appropriate a name. Anyway, was your superior talent helpful to you last year? Our talent was 1 sec away from undefeated. We recruit just as well as you do! Why do you feel you have more talent? Seriously?

It was just what I expected too.......we got outcoached in every facet.

From development to motivation....from preparation to scheming.

Congrats on a great victory. You did more with what you had, and that is the mark of a good staff and team.

You can now take your gross generalizations ....well, nevermind.

lol. you are very uninformed. please stop embarrassing yourself by trying to justify yourself with moot arguments. PSU has less talent than UT. PSU had a better game plan than UT. PSU executed better than UT. PSU deserved to win the game. PSU still has less talent than UT.

PSU fans save for a fumble you would have been down 17-10 with an offense that wasn't doing anything. You won the game good for you but you weren't the more talented team. Better discipline, better coaching, but not better talent and I would trade the talent for the other two in a heartbeat

One word. Fumble. UT coaching wasn't good but it would still have possibly won the game. JoePa definately head and shoulders above CPF. The gift came in the form of a Foster Fumble hands inside the 10 yard line. Game was pretty evenly matched up to that point.

In the end the team that played better and was coached better won the game. Congrads.

I am not trying to flame or disrespect anybody. Just cause some knuckleheads in the media say you guys are better and should win does not make it so. We have plenty of talent. You guys were playing Penn State not some small time program. For so many on here to whine after losing head to head for a third straight time is a sign of denial or stupidity! Yes you got outcoached, but don't make it look as if our boys can't match up with yours. I think we all know that has been proven to be false yet again.

Forget all of the other drivel, I'm just confused as to why only a man can give others credit, deserved or otherwise.

no dude, we have more pure athleticism on this team than you guys could ever dream of. If Foster's knee goes down in the 4th quarter, you are over at your little "Nittany Lions" (gayest nickname ever) forum whining about JoePa.

Obviously predictions that we would win weren't so far-fetched. Where was all this cockiness before the game? Domer was right. Every one of your posts makes you look dumber.

You were proven to be the better team....yesterday. That in no way is indicative of your team having more talent. Belaboring an incorrect premise is silly.

Be thankful for your coaching staff. Their experience and knowledge will win you some games that should be out of your reach.

"Tis better to remain silent and let men think you a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." Joe Pa would probably agree with that sentiment.

Ive said on several threads that Tennessee was outcoached. I think we have better talent, you guys executed better. But coaching was the biggest difference...psu attacked our weaknesses, capitalized on turnovers, and made adjustments. Tennessee's coaches did not.

So, RoarLionsRoar, dont go off making incorrect statements that show you obviously havent looked around too hard. It only shows ignorance.

I know that we have more than you do. I know that you are just as suprised that you won as we are that we lost. It was a pretty big upset. The better team didn't win yesterday.

if PSU is so superior to UT in all facets of the game (including talent and speed), then why do you come on to UT's messageboard, bragging about the win? I don't go bragging when Notre Dame beats Navy. Obviously, you subconsciously believe that UT is better than PSU and the win was so incredibly unbelievable that you wanted to begin politicking that PSU is the end-all armageddon team of the 21st century. how old are you?
