We are a long way from being a good team. No Joke Right!
Here is my evaluation of our Team.

Running Game- Poor
70 % of the Problem is we do not have a Good RB
30% OL is not firing out and controling the D Line

WR- very average
83 Rogers- needs to see the bench- too many drops and is not a playmaker.

21 Rogers-good but not fast.

WR are not getting open enough

DL- Fair to Good
97 Jackson is a stud
everyone else is playing average at best
good against the run but no pass rush

LB's are Fair

AJ is going to be great as a DE. Too Slow and not Athletic enough to be an SEC LB
56- has a real good future at LB.
40 Johnson is fair to good at mlb

DB's well below average- no Speed No play makers
17 where are you? not making many plays
23 good player but no speed
10 got beat alot- no speed
18 got beat alot-no speed

If Dogs would have have had 5 straight holding penalties, we would not have stopped them and we would have been down 3 tds.

We have a long way to go, to be good.

Agree for the most part. Scheme is the major problem with running the ball. We do not drive or zone block - we use a draw (passblock) method. We also have a left handed guard playing right handed center. Dumb.

The bottom line is that it is just not happening right now for Tennessee what so ever. Look at every team that wins some where along the way they get little breaks. The one thing about this team that I think brings everybody down is that we keep waiting for that big win against whoever it may be and then when we play a team that could be that big win and it's like we fall flat. I think we have alot of unpolished talent that will come around and I think we have a very good coaching staff. We are just waiting for that one game when we begin to move forward and it all clicks. Also we can not seem to attack when we are in a position to. We just don't have the push to take control when we need to.

Brandon Spikes says hi. Nothing wrong with AJ. He will play faster when he learns what to do more. If we didn't have him out there Crowell would've had twice the yardage.

Bingo!!! it is way easy to blame running backs ...and even easier to blame the O-line

Great observation ...not to mention that most of our running plays take way to long to develope ( the Wing T looking nonsense) , many of our formations telegraph exactly what we are gonna do ...and the idiocy of trying to run outside over and over against SEC defenses should be mentioned.

This is not Purdue or the Big 10 Jim .

Power running ..dives..smashes ...I think the running game looks alot better if we take a more direct approach instead of the cute approach

Actually, I thought the defense other than the DBs looked pretty good.

first time to post on message board, so don't kill me yet. can anyone explain to me why the heck we have a left hand dominate, forced to use his right hand, guard starting at center. makes no sense to me.

I do not have an answer and I do not think anyone can answer the question. It will go down as one of the great unsolved mysteries of the world!!!!

Wait maybe I do have an answer! Its time for an OL Coaching Change!!!!

Left handed snapper spins the ball the opposite direction, harder for a QB to get a grip on it as quick.

Apparently with his left hand he would snap it 30 feet in the air.

AJ Johnson will be a great MLB. Take that to the bank, he's really physical. He's playing out of position just simply because of our need of linebackers.

Its all bad right now. I might sound Crazy but Sims might can help. He is a SR and maybe he can push the ball down the field. We will see this Sat. Bottom Line is when this team Lost Jackson it was pretty much a wrap for the DBs then!

Good luck, because there is always way more chaff than wheat on these message boards.
