Like everyone else Spring practice videos and stories have given me football fever. The last couple of days I've watched a few videos (4 to be exact) from last season. There are some things I noticed and wanted to put them down and get Vol Nation thoughts and comments. These are in no particular order.

1. From the 1st game of the season to the last you can actually see the confidence of this team building, especially the last few games starting with the Bama game.

2. The speed on defense is unreal. We know they are fast, however when watch a video that has play after play it becomes really noticeable. I was thinking to myself Dammmm.

3. Josh Smith needs to be thrown to more. He has lightening fast hands when the ball is near him.

4. When KMac gets his arms around a QB or RB the play is all over.

5. When Barnett gets his grove on he is unstoppable.

6. The improvement of the OL can be seen, especially after the freshmen started playing more.

7. After they let Dobbs start using his instincts you can see a more confident offense in how they were carrying themselves and how they where hammering the other teams defensive line.

There are a lot more but didn't want make this to thread to long.

Would like you Ladies and Gentlemen's thoughts.

Going to be a LONG Spring and Summer. GBO

I'm an ole man and don't know how to put the videos on here but they are on You Tube.

I noticed all year that Barnett would get held on almost every single play. They really need to call that this year or let them hold him and Kongbo will get them. Or our DT's.

I think it was the Oklahoma game where they literally held Barnett every single time and they never called it..

If Kongbo can come in and live up to the hype . Good Lord.

I expect this years defense to be one of the best Defenses this school has seen in a long time.. Not many weaknesses at all.

Nice disclaimer, it saved the thread, and explained everything.

Jump higher Vols.

This is true.

I agree, and they need to let Dobbs be Dobbs. He's not his best at trying to be just a pocket qb. It seems like a few games they wabted to make him more of that. Just let him play his game.

Idiot reader of the year award:

I read the thread title and thought, "Damn, that's a lot."

Interestingly the 2 best games of his career (South Carolina 2014 and Georgia 2015) are the only 2 games we've fallen behind by a lot and the coaches were forced to scrap the game plan and let Dobbs wing it.

I've been saying for months Butch Jones conservative mindset has supressed Dobbs talent. We only see what Dobbs is truly capable of when we fall behind by a lot and Burch has no choice but to let him try and win it.

Did you watch the last two bowl games?

I watched a 45 minute of the 2015 season highlights. I agree that the line was better late with Jones and Hall but I also know I watched a highlight video so all the plays were nice looking.
I like having more than 15 minutes of highlights to watch. Hightlights for a long have been no longer than 15 minutes for the entire season and a lot of plays shouldn't have made a highlight videos. For 2015, Cam Sutton has 5 minutes of highlights just returning kicks.
