Just watched LSU TD run and got me thinking

Who was the last rb for us that could make runs like that? Hit a gap and just be gone? Break away speed.

I already know Ty Chandler is coming and I hope he proves he is capable of it.

Most big running gains can be attributed to one of two things; fantastic blocking on all levels or simply misdirection plays pulling DBs out of position.

If our wide outs become better blockers downfield youll'll see those 7-10 yards turn into long touchdowns.

Misdirection. ...that's all about timing of playcalls, ie thr OCs job.

Having those Jamal Lewis/Chuck Webb type backs help too..😁

John Kelly and Alvin Kamra come to mind haha

Lamarcus Coker was our last True home rum threat at running back. I believe Chandler will be that the next couple years.

Kamara and Kelly had good seasons and are NFL backs now, and they ran with some of the worst offensive line play in Tennessee history. It's both fun and painful to think what they could have done with the late-90s front (and the many other great TN front 5s).
