i think he did the best he could but had no business ever playing for us...do i respect him the answer is yes. ..did he have any business.playing as much as he did no...not his fault
...

Two different coaching staffs say that he did indeed have business playing that much. So, that argument is kinda proven otherwise.

I think he ranks 8th or 9th all-time made 3's for UT. Good kid glad to watch him play and give his all for TN. Not bad for a walk on from Grainger county.

The legend will grow with time. Leaves with nary a negative incident. They will remember Skylar Mcbee. :salute:

People can say he sucks or whatever. But if every player played as hard and with as much grit, determination, and heart as Skylar....well we wouldn't have been in the NIT. Say what you want about him, but that kid bled orange and never took a second off in any game. Thank you for your time in K-Town Skylar, I wish you the best.

I 2nd that. He is the definition of a Volunteer! I'll miss him greatly. I feel bad his career ended like it did last night. The Grainger Gunner will always have a place in Tennessee Basketball history.

I view Skylar kinda like I viewed Nick Reviez. It's nothing personal, and they absolutely gave their all when asked, but the fact they were starting told me something about our chances

Yea, thanks for your hard work and effort Skylar. While you lacked ability, at least you consistently gave good effort. Good luck in whatever you do for a career.

Now, having said that, let's go recruit and sign somebody who can can freakin' shoot the ball and at least halfway play some good D.

if you are blaming that loss last night on Skylar's minutes, you should stick with trolling the zone

I never said that and how you could read that is pretty confusing (well, not really). Go find someone else's heels to nip at

Agree completely.

one was an undersized middle LB in the best football conference around that was required to call all signals and fill the hole. The other comes off the bench and shoots a few times a game. The only comparison is that they are both local, white and walked on.

They both played way too many minutes in relation to their skill set in a program that sees itself as trying to be elite. If you want racial balance, change Reveiz to Tauren Poole.

We don't win at least 3 of our games this year without Skylar hitting some late shots.
Basketball has role players. Every team has them.

In an odd way will miss him, but we need the scholly...can't say the same for Kenny.

Man, did you see how many times he got caught last night, beyond the 3 pt line, watchin the paint dry???
I know somebody is suppose to help the helper sometimes. But after the first 10 times, you gotta know you man is slippin and not staying with the screen. Hate to bash Kenny in a Skylar thread but good grief he was bad last night.

He was a 35% 3 point specialist for his career which is not good. He played hard and tried his best. Good luck.

It's kinda funny some folks find their joy in shocking others with distinct obnoxiousness....Skylar is the kind of young man most could only hope to be...HE WILL BE SUCCESSFUL....and yep he was raised right!!!!!!!
