Jackson was not involved. Richardson and Gordon was the two that were the lead men Jackson walked out and they were doing it. Jackson will get suspended and will get a years probation. Richardson will get time in jail and Gordan as well. Iv heard around campus the girl is nothing but trouble, and "loves" to hang out with Football players

Please get your facts straight.

Kind of hard to take this seriously if you don't even have the names right. I'm sure Eric Gordon would be pissed you're calling him a robber.

any talk that jj stays on this team is absurd. all 3 of these clowns are guilty of letting the team down and casting a terrible light on Tennessee Football. this is reason enough to kick them off the team. who cares how well they play or might play? Tennessee Football is bigger than any one player or any 3 players. adult decisions have adult consequences....kiffin treated these kids like adults and they abused that trust and treatment by making a terrible decision. now they have to deal with the consequences....may they be dealt swiftly and firmly.

Not exactly. The police cannot charge you with anything. The arrest you, present the facts to the DA and they charge you.

Many times you hear about someone who was arrested, but the DA decided not to pursue charges. Unlikely in this situation except hopefully JJ.

Yes, they can. They read your Miranda Rights informing you of what you are charged with and what your rights are.

The DA does not decide not to pursue charges; he decides to drop charges. You are charged when you are arrested. Right now JJ, NR, and ME are charged with attempted armed robbery.

I'd say it doesn't matter whether or not JJ knew about it or not. Being an accessory to attempted armed robbery will get you some jailtime no matter what.
Depends. I think he deserves whatever he gets. On the non-legal side, it's easy to say all of them HAVE to go. Now Nu'Keese and Edwards I see being kicked off the team no matter what. Direct involvement in the robbery pretty much assures they are gone. The Janzen situation gets sticky. Lets find out details and see how it is played. Then parents pleas for second chances come into play. Regardless, I don't see any way he isn't suspended for remainder of the season.

On the legal side, I don't care how it sounds when I say it..... money changes everything. Justice doesn't always come forward. Get a lawyer and play the angle that he had no idea it was about to happen and then throw booster money at the legal system and wa-la....problem solved. That is a sad reality of our "justice system".

I agree. Anybody stays and it looks like the coaching staff will tolerate this kind of behavior. They all have to go, regardless of whether J.J. was involved or not! Bottom line is if you do this kind of stuff, you're out.

The DA/courts will decide if there is enough evidence to indight (sp) them, which could take MONTHS depending on the caseload.

You are the one being absurd. No matter how this looks on the University of Tennessee this is still America. If JJ was an accomplice to a crime then he needs to be gone. If he went into a store to buy something and comes out to find his idiot friends he was riding with broke stupid. He is innocent and the police will determine that.

Probably won't take very long. They will likely present this to the grand jury for indictment when the next criminal court session begins. As for now, the players will be brought to General Sessions Court in Knox Co. for arraignment and then they will likely proceed to a preliminary hearing the next week unless the players waive it.

How could you tell all that after just walking by the players?
there was a group of probably 6 or 7 sitting outside of alumni memorial building on the stage that the pre-game radio showed uses. they were visibily upset and talking about if janzen was involved or not. I only heard them as i was walking by and they were nervous ab janzen.

They're not the ones who should be nervous.

Here we go again. LK must let them all go...If he does not we are in for a repeat of the PF days which we do not need. Nuke may have a lot of personal problems that need to be corrected. All this talent just thrown away....not to mention a chance at a college education that many sports stars never get.

I guess it's fairly easy to see why mob rule is not an effective form of government. People are so quick to hear two or three pieces of information and make a declaration. Why don't we wait until all of the information comes out before deciding what should be done?

Accessory to armed robbery is a Class "E" Felony. If you are a Range I offender no less than 1, no more than 3 years in prison.

Armed Robbery is Class C. 3-6

Not to mention they will be charged with Conspiracy to commit as well.

Their warrants said Class C Felony

In most jurisdictions - Police tell you what you are arrested under the suspicion having committed. The DA will then decide whether to file charges.

My question is what in the H*** are they doing out so late? They should be either studying or getting ready for the Ole Miss game. This will be a huge decision for CLK and staff, because recruits and parents are watching how we handle this situation.

IMHO, indefinite suspensions for all 3. We really didn't need this type of behavior happening at this moment of the season. We just got some momentum with a star recruit and getting some good pub from media, this is a black eye in an already rocky year on Rocky Top.

GO VOLS!
