So, in NO WAY am I presenting this as anything more than rumor, but this is what I’m reading on TOS...

Morris was interviewed in Dallas today, and was given a contingency offer if Gundy said no.

As I am understanding it, Morris’ OC is an MTSU guy who has family in Middle Tennessee. They are telling folks on the board over there that Morris has accepted as of 1about an hour ago now...

Yeah, hearsay and likely BS “Cool story bro”...but it’s being pushed hard as fact and an announcement should be expected tomorrow if true.

I may gut myself...

Again. Rumor and nothing more. There are also those calling BS saying they had colleagues in their profession who witnessed Morris declining the offer at a quarterback club type meeting.

I am seriously drunk posting at this point. Will probably regret bringing it up. I usually do.

OC is Joe Craddock. He's from Birmingham, but played QB at MTSU. At one point he was the youngest OC in college football.

Morris blows Dave Doren off the map and I'd take him all day, every day before almost every other realistic name we have in play at this point. Chris Peterson isn't walking through that door.

If you'd be okay with Brent Venebles you should be more than okay with Chad Morris.

There's absolutely no comparison to Derek Dooley and Morris beyond that both are living human beings that have been involved with football.

Actually Morris has improved every year from 2 wins to 5 wins to 7 wins this season. Dooley at UT and LA Tech was worse in his 3rd year at both places than he was in his 2nd.
