Just Settle Down, Please.

Max seems like an awesome dude. I’m really rooting for him but he’s making things tougher. I think the reason we went for the onside kick was because they don’t have faith in him.

You can’t blame it on the kicker alone but that is multiple times this season he has put us in a rough spot. It sucks tbh.
Yeah he needs to go on with his life’s work somewhere else.

Number 1 offense in the SEC. Averaged 42ppg before our 56pts last week and 30 something this week so likely still about 42 points per game after already playing bama, uga, and OK with the best defense in the SEC.

Women do this when they're mad.
Throw facts logic and reason out and only spew emotions.
Why do so many UT fans pitch fits like women and lose all logic, reason and facts every time we lose a game??

Why??
Worst defense in the SEC. One of the worst in the nation.

I said 8-4 after UGA. I was wrong.

7-5.

We are simply not a good team when facing any formidable opposition. We have not played a really good team this year either. Maybe the Ohio State University is legit, I haven’t watched them play, but the SEC does not have an Alabama/.Georgia type of team that could simply dominate. Parity is for real. Team chemistry and all the rah rah ree crap is over. That’s why any NFL team is capable of beating any other team out there. Get used to ups and downs.

Go Buy season tickets to Lady Vols basketball games and you will see some heart and winning ways. Coach Kim Caldwell for coach of the Year. It’s time to move on football fans. This season is over. I have no faith in the remainder of this season. Wait until the Swamp and Candy Crush happens. We’re not good and not all that bad. We fo need some changes on defensive coaching staff. S&C seems to be lacking a little too. Pack up your dreams and move on.

How many ranked wins are in those stats and what is the win loss record of the teams we’ve beaten? Sure, we score points, but when your defensive is so bad that their stats negate all of those numbers, you’ve got a reason to complain. Pretty hard to win when you score 42 but give up 43 against teams with a pulse. And that’s why people “act like women” as you put it. Because they’ve noticed and are now voicing glaringly obvious issues that you are unable or unwilling to acknowledge.

Live by the FG die by the FG...FGs aren't enough especially with this defense but seems that's where the Vols are having to settle on some critical possessions in the game. Lack luster play calling with sloppy play.

One more thing, they can kill the dark mode now. It looks good, but I’d rather see orange and white. The extra “juice” wasn’t worth the squeeze.

Settle down, folks. We lost tonight. But I said to people that if there would be a team along with Georgia and Alabama that gave us fits this season, it'd be Oklahoma. The Sooners are not a bad team. They're a good team and a reason they are 6-2. It is so asinine that I am seeing comments of some of the fans on here saying we're going to be 7-5 or we need to get rid of Josh Heupel.

Yeah, Heupel got outcoached tonight, Joey picked tonight to have his worst game of the season, and Max Gilbert still can't make a Field Goal in a clutch situation. But before the season, the experts thought we'd be 6-6 or 7-5. Hell, there were some that thought we'd probably go 5-7. We lost many players in the offseason, we didn't know what we'd get out of Joey Aguilar before the season, and several players on defense have been out since before the season. I am just saying it could be worse.

We are great at offense. Most of our offense did a great job, but Aguilar got too greedy and aggressive on some key throws and that hurt us. Especially how great their defense is. Defensively, we should be better next year with some guys coming back and if we recruit more blue chippers and get quality players from the portal.

But we also NEED to fire Tim Banks and Willie Martinez. Even with the players we have out, we should be better than what we are defensively. And our secondary is still mediocre at best thanks to Martinez. And we need to get a better kicker in the offseason and send Gilbert on his way.
Asinine is paying a coach 10 mil a year who consistently can’t manage a game. Hell, tonight he showed he didn’t even know clock rules of the game he is paid to coach.

The team is always sloppy, always undisciplined. This is his ceiling. I do appreciate being brought back to relevance. Heup seems like a good guy and a good coach. But I want a great coach at TN. He’s not that. Cue the “who you gonna hire”? Crowd.

Got to love the way the fans always get “lectured”. The prices to go games are out of sight. Then they add the talent fee on top of that. We aren’t improving in year 5 and are regressing with questionable happenings. Yet no one is allowed to question how this doesn’t add up. It’s like going to a car lot and paying 50k for a car and it won’t run when you leave. You go inside and complain and you hear “ You are overreacting. You have to be patient and give it time. I can’t give it time. I have to go to work. Are you going to get a better car somewhere else- no so you have to deal with this one that doesn’t run even though you paid a very high price for it. It’s better than the one you drove in here with.”

It’s coaches first ever bad home loss technically. Can’t make it a habit but I think he gets a pass that it took 5 years to have a bad loss at home lol. It sucks because OU really did nothing special to win the frame, their most impressive plays were FG kicks lol
…and field goal kicks by an OU kicker wearing panties on the field. That added insult to injury.

We were the better team yesterday, but we beat ourselves with dumb mistakes. Joey had a terrible game and made some boneheaded plays. Max is not reliable. Our Oline struggled. D looked decent overall, but still needs work even with the injuries considered.

Heup put out the dumpster fire but I remain guarded on if he is the man for much longer. However, given the current state of the college football with the NIL and portal, I wonder if the era of great coaches is on its way out.

I’m ready to move on from this. It’s not going to work. Hooker made him look way better than he is. And yes Banks and Martinez aren’t worth their paychecks.
I completely agree with this. Let’s not forget, Heupel’s starting QB that season was Milton. Had Milton not gotten injured, we likely wouldn’t have seen Hooker.

Set aside record and wins and losses. What does the eyeball test tell you? Tennessee has 2 great receivers. While good, Matthews has not lived up to his 5 star rating and should not be the QB’s #1 target. The offensive line is weak. The kicking game is a crap shoot. The penalties we’ve seen all season show a lack of discipline. His unwillingness to change defensive coaches is glaring. Rodney Garner is the best defensive coach he’s got by far. I’m not going to get into clock management and lack of halftime adjustments. Heupel also doesn’t seem to be able to elevate his team. He continues to bring in 15th or so ranked classes and that the level they play.

With all of that being said, he’s definitely getting another year but he has to make changes. If not, this season is what we’re getting from them next year too.

Some teams are known for being "clutch". They make the key plays to win big games. UGA and bama are those types. Heupel and UT are known for being the opposite. They provide the unexplainable stinker every season and it's almost always a game that costs us big at the end of the season. Depending on Heupel's moves this off season, I suspect we won't be worrying about the "stinker" curse. Next year we'll face a murders row of opponents. 7 wins might be a big ask. Heupel's got his work cut out for him.

Well I guess it was fun for slot of folks to live the fantasy that Tennessee had a chance for a national championship but just like winning the lottery most logical people knew all along that it wasn’t going to happen! Just glad I didn’t spend 1000 bucks to go to the game tonight just to get embarrassed at home! All I’m really going to lose is maybe a little sleep tonight
You didn't lose sleep because it is daylight savings time we "fell back" an hour last night so you gained an hour, of sleep, a win!

We want to take the next step then make some staff changes on SPECIAL TEAMS and Defense and the donors will have to pony up Texas A/M level NIL money. They are buying Elko whatever guy he wants for his team and it's showing. A/M may not win it all this year but they'll be a big player going forward.
