I love how he seemed like a genuine guy...and who that guy is just happens to be a total opposite of he-who-must-not-be-named.
I was happy to hear the applause he got in the middle of is presser.

I like that revisionist reference; other equally poignant options would include Judas or Benedict Arnold.

Had the opportunity to meet him and interview him several times while he was with us.

He did some stuff for our Orientation program last year as well, which was pretty great.

He is definitely likeable...

Everyone seems to be giving the father more credit than I certainly do. Usually, the apple doesn't fall all that far from the tree.

Exactly right. You learn from those around you. . . . . . . . . . Enter Derrick DOOLEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't Monte see his son is a fake POS

I'm certain that Monte's values aren't the same as his son's. I have several friends who know Monte Kiffin from back in his days at Nebraska. They all like and respect him, and still consider him one of their own even though he left the Huskers about 30 years ago.

A lot of Nebraska fans wanted Monte as their new coach when their idiot AD opted for Bill Callahan instead. Incidentally, they felt sorry for me as a UT fan when we got his son to replace Fulmer. (Fulmer, believe it or not, was thought very highly of by most Nebraska people.)

I doubt Monte considers his son a POS, but I'm sure part of his reasoning for following Lane to UT and now to USC is to provide some stability and maturity in the hope that his son will eventually grow up.
