Gators have the sympathy vote cause of Irma.
They are playing for their state and it's people.
As for us, first timers everywhere in this environment.
I know how scared I was my first time when the pressure was on. I folded. Couldn't perform at a top level. Total sphincter failure. Embarrassing.
Here's hoping that our warriors can overcome all obstacles.
Wear some depends over our franks and beans holders because strange things happen when playing Florida. You Do not want a shart to cause u the game.

You do understand that either 1/2 or 2/3 of the team will be new to the swamp every time we go right? I know CBJ is building the excuses in, but that is actually normal.

As for the sympathy vote, yeah it sucks for them. We have lots of players from Florida to though. Its the same for them and i hope their families stories are told.

There are always first timers everywhere when we go to the swamp. It's college football, players graduate. Playing for the state may be an advantage, but the emotional toll of poor sleep and stress from friends and family being in such a bad situation may be a big obstacle to overcome. Just watch McElwain's presser from a few days ago; dude looked and sounded exhausted. It's a tough game to predict, as we don't know how good or bad the Vols actually are, but I see a win in the swamp for the first time in over a decade...38-24 VOLS!!!

Yeah, we are going to be the big bad wolf this weekend, even though many of our players are from Florida. But that won't fit the narrative.

I'm not even touching that stupid Butch comment. Enough with the excuses, win or STFU.

Agreed, unless we turn it over 4 times or something like that. I really think our run game will be the difference.

I think the players are fine. Coaches have said that they are practicing well which means they are dialed in.

My advice for going there the first time "Go Big or Go Home".

Advice should work in the Swamp as well...

Half of the team has never lost to Florida either. For such an upbeat and high energy guy Butch sure does have a glass half full mentality.

The Florida mystic was crushed in the 3rd and 4th qtr last year by 120.

121 ain't buying that baloney and will be ready and willing and able to stomp a mud hole out of the gators.

Only fans are worried. It's mostly the fans of the gator chumps. Sure there are a few Vol fans that can't get past the past, but that's not how most of us feel.

I dont think that is the way its viewed. Butch does not have a good history in big games. He began changing that last year slightly. But stats like this are meaningless and so alot of people are going to view it as excuse making. What he said literally happens to every team, so why say it? He actually took the time to count how many players have been there.

I had to visit the Dr. yesterday and he gave me "The Big Finger Check" being over 50. It took him 3 tries and a half a quart of Gin. tight... I wrote the book! Go Vols!:)
