We got absurdly lucky yesterday, but we probably deserved it.

In all seriousness, we've played two quarters of football in every game we've played so far. Season is almost half done. We're undefeated and played five half-games of football.

How good would this team be if they played 3 or, something even more novel, 4 quarters of football? Could anyone this side of the NFL live with 4 total quarters of Vol football?

We travelled well last year (and should have won 10 in reg season). Here's hoping we can go 1000 miles to College Station and find four quarters of football.

If we do, I don't think anyone can live with a healthy Vol team with a month to prepare. Look out play-offs. Vols are coming.

I don't like the fact on secn last night they said cut the nc rings because the Vols are a team of destiny.

At some point it's got to all come together and when that happens it'll be even harder to beat the Vols. I've been very critical on the coaches but the fight in this unshakable

We will find out next week if we are contenders or pretenders. Our goal is to win the SEC, so now we have to beat the two best SEC teams.

To be the best, one must beat the best.

You've got to be Ric Flair.

Our record speaks for itself. We are good enough to be 5-0 and victorious over 2 rivals back to back.

With that said, I think we can all agree this team has much room for improvement. There is a need for more consistent play by almost every person. And...inexplicably...there have been silly, mental mistakes from which we have (fortunately) been able to recover. These mistakes are the most uncharacteristic of CBJ's past teams.

I feel like we will be adding staff and upgrading staff at season's end.

Certainly the most undisciplined.

After the crazy bad luck we've had over the last several years, we were due this one, and probably a couple of more. I mean, we've had a rule changed based on our luck. This team is due some good fortune.

Not sure how good this team is - we have had some crucial injuries on defense and at times the offense is stagnant.

That said the team is 5 and 0 with one miraculous win and another improbable comeback. I'll take 5 & 0. Vols need to play 4 quarters against A&M. Go Vols!

Next week will tell the story. Playing a very good team at home. Of course, they did struggle against South Carolina yesterday.

It's hard to say for sure. Tim Irwin said he feels very blessed not to be 1-4.

Have we really played anyone? Is UGA as bad as they looked against Nichols and Ole Miss? UNC win looks pretty good now.

UF managed 230 yards against Vandy. I think they lose at least 2 more games.

If we mix up the O and play a full game, I think we're a very good team

This team is NOT very good on defense as LB and Corners & Safeties will get REALLY EXPOSED in space next week.....Foreman (a senior) cant tackle in space as he tackles w/ his head down and tries to do alot of arm tackling. Jumper and McDowell are way too slow to get to the edge and watch how easy A&M gets to the edge on stretch plays. Todd Kelly looks really slow sometimes and misses way too many tackles straight up the middle. In order to beat A&M, you have to have corners w/ ball skills and Mosely and Foreman just doesnt have it at least not on a consistent basis...........BTW, where was Buchanon as Butch stated all week.......

gotta agree... if you think back to '98 arkansas game, no way we should have won. But as the Maxims say "When a break comes your way, SCORE". Team 120 is finding a way to win. We are not starting games well... but unlike last year we are finishing games... Here's to more wins against A&M and BAMA (hopefully!!!!)

Not trying to be negative but the players are way way ahead of the coaching staff right now. They are playing championship ball in spite of the staff decisions. If they catch up this will be a team to remember, otherwise it will be another "show them the cheese then jerk it away" season. I think they see what they have after the last 2 weeks and will adjust going forward, no reason not to?

Besides the clock management late in the game the coaching has been pretty good the last 2 weeks. We've fallen behind because of execution not play calling

9-3 or possibly 10-2 with a trip to Atlanta. I think we lose the next two and win out, though SC will not be easy.

Will Overstreet quite critical of Debord/Jones play calling in first half of each game this year - Running base offense and very conservative until the Vols get behind.
