Just emailed Dave Hart

I doubt he'll ever read it. He's probably got an assistant who checks his emails for him. But I did my part in trying to show why I want John Gruden. I think if we all did the same, at some pt whoever is reading these emails will mention/say something to Mr. Hart. I'd rather make a fool of myself trying to get someone I really want, than playing the waiting game and getting another nobody.

Don't be upset if you get a "delete without being read" response. You can want Gruden, but he is not getting back into coaching. So stop it. Plus Gruden won with Dungy's draft picks and did nothing afterwards. Gruden presents and iconic figure in Football. UT needs a coach that can recruit, prepare a gameplan, show progress from game to game and build this team to where they are feared in the SEC and beyond. A coach that will make UT relevant again. Gruden is not interested in working this hard.

Do you know him personally? How do you know how hard he wants to work? From every account I've ever read about him, he's supposedly a tireless worker and great football mind. Not sure because I don't know the man but that's what people that do know him say. And who knows, maybe he wants a new challenge. I don't know if we have any shot at getting him but he should definitely be. Dry close to the

Gruden has actually directly stated he would get into college coaching and his criteria fit UT.

Gruden won with Dungy's picks? LOL. HE WON THE SUPERBOWL. Who cares whose players it was with. It's hard to win it. Most coaches dont pick the players in the draft or FA. That's what a GM is for. Yes, there are some coaches who are very active in that process but there have been plenty who are not the decision maker. They are rather a point of input. Gruden would not have to work as hard as Dooley. He's a Hollywood hire. Instant recognition and known success. He also has instant respect.

I don't endorse the firing of Dooley UNLESS we can get a homerun/hollywood hire.

Hahaha, again thats fine. I'm doing this for me. Like I said before, I knew some maybe many of you would think it's pointless or a waste of my time to even try. I guess your one of them, and that's fine. But I'm doing this for me, and I felt like I needed to atleast try.

How do you know how hard Gruden is willing to work? Do you know him personally? Unless you do, I could make the same general comment about you and claim to be just as accurate. Opinion is one thing, but you state it like it's a fact. I'm not buying it.

Gruden rebuilt the Raiders before going to the Bucs. When he joined the Bucs, he retooled the offense through free agency. He already had the defense thanks to Dungy and Monte. If winning with "Dungy's draft picks" was so easy, then why couldn't Dungy do it? Give credit where credit is due, Gruden pulled that team together for their superbowl win. After that, the Bucs went down hill because of salary cap and the draft picks they gave up for Gruden, both things beyond his, or any other coach's, ability to control.

The fact that NFL teams would still love to have him tells me the guy can coach.

I will agree it's unlikely he comes here, but I do think we should offer, if Hart decides to fire Dooley. I think Gruden could be a tremendous success at the college level if he decided that was what he wanted to pursue.

If Gruden isn't your choice, fine, but don't belittle his accomplishments. He's earned his coaching credentials at the pinnacle of football. Man deserves to be recognized for it.
