Just doing some quick comparisons

Gotta be a problem if we have two head to head victories in the past few weeks. Do they really want to tee up those questions? Especially with our win over the purported top seed in the dance.

I would be happy with best available 2 seed with no west coast trips involved, BUT…….,.,,,,,,that low hanging fruit would be out there IF IF IF WE WIN.
I hope you’re right. Based on the past, Sunday hasn’t mattered. Let’s win and force the committee to show their hand.

If agree. Top to bottom, I think Florida is the most talented team, Duke with Flagg right behind. I'd also argue TN is the toughest team.

Vols should be highest #2 even if we lose tomorrow. If we win...I don't know, I see the argument either way b/t us and Florida.

I don't understand the Duke hype even as we are here with the regular season almost complete.

Duke has largely played nobody except for 1-3 good teams. Duke has out talented people in the ACC and most of non conference. But if they run into a. more experienced and more physical team (think 2023 vs Tennessee), will they be able to compete?

Winning the tournament for arguably the best conference in NCAA history should absolutely mean we’re a top seed. The fact that it’s such a long shot is a testament to how good this conference is.

I think today should matter because of who the final four were in the conference tourney. I think it would be different if you had a 6-10 seed make a run to the semis and as a result, a top 4 seed made the final.

Duke is damn good, even without Flagg. Don’t kid yourself because the ACC had a down year.

I think his point was Phillips stepped up against the best team in the country for most of the season at a critical time and helped get us a win.
I love Phillips, I just worry about the depth in that area if fouls become a problem.

Their league is obviously not as good. But, I watch that team and their dang good. So, you can't punish them for not playing the same level of competition unless they've had more mediocre losses than a SEC team

Florida has beaten Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee.

They're about to beat Alabama again.

The big problem for Tennessee at this point is the eye test is going to matter. I've been worried my being an alumnus and fan was clouding my judgment, but I'm past that. Florida's the best team in the SEC. I'd argue they're the best team in the country.

None of this means they won't lose tomorrow or in the NCAA tournament, but I've seen enough to come to that conclusion.

The committee may have as well
I concur. At the point, UF is peaking at the right time and IMHO the best team in the NCAA today.

I think there will be a lot of national overreactions and recency bias with Auburn losing lately, Florida dominating bama, etc, but I still think Auburn is the best team in the country.

No way they're better than UF. I'm not sure they aren't the 4th best team in the SEC right now.
