Just Curious What A Win This Week Would Mean To You?

That in some way that poor poor child working in a sweat shop far away , who held up a freshly made pair of jorts and asked "What kind of @#$%^& idiot would wear these?"
will have some peace.

Would affirm my confidence in Dooley and prove that Tennessee is back as a threat in the east.

I don't think it means were back as title contenders. Our schedule is ridiculous.

I think it would mean we are in the running for the division.

Unfortunately, win or lose, I feel the media will make this game about Muschamp, Weis and FU. If they win, it was a great hire and back to business as usual for the lizards, if they lose, it won't be because our Vols were better but because their new staff will need time to get their guys.

It would be the key to the doorway of respect! The sports talking heads would start gushing over our team and coach and not just a few key players. It has been too long since we have had a Gameday, a top 25 ranking, and a real chance at an SEC/National Championship title. I wear my orange proudly always....but there is something to say about wearing it with the swagger that comes with being a top ranked team. I think a win at The Swamp puts us on the fast track (no matter how they look this year)! GBO!!!

It would mean that UT is 3-0 overall and 1-0 in SEC standings.

In other words effing fantastic!!

Tennessee Win Would mean...
■Snap a six-game losing streak to Florida (since 2005) and a streak of 10 consecutive losses against ranked opponents on the road. The last such win was a 51-33 victory at No. 10 Georgia (10/7/06).
■Extend Tennessee's regular-season winning streak to seven games, the longest for the Vols since 2003-04, when UT won its last six regular-season games in 2003 and its first three in 2004.
■Increase Tennessee's winning streak in SEC games to four, its longest vs. conference foes since 2007.
■Give UT its first three-game road winning streak since 2005-06 (Kentucky (`05), Memphis, Georgia, South Carolina).
■Improve Tennessee's all-time record to 792-340-53 (.691) and 105-122-9 (.464) against ranked teams.

You can't really believe this, can you? Beating a team coming off an 8-5 season, and will probably be 8-5 again, means you are back?

It would show improvement. Even with you guys being down (relatively speaking), if we win, it would be our best in about four years. IIRC Georgia in 2007 was the last time we beat a team that finished ranked.

It would be huge, no doubt. It would affirm that we are headed back in the right direction.

I really want this win.

UF@g could be 0-2 and I would still enjoy beating them down.

They deserve it. After years and years of showing no class, it's about time for some comeuppance.

It depends on how the game goes. If Florida looks disfunctional and sputters on O the whole game and we win due to their mistakes, then yes.

But if we come out and win a well played slugfest with Bray looking like a great QB again, then I think we will garner most of the attention.
