Living up north I do not get many opportunities to soak in the orange. This morning my family and I got off the plane and went straight to the clear lake beach party. Awesome seeing a sea of orange and friendly people. Hearing the band play Rocky Top as we approached the beach gave me chills.

It has been over a decade for me - I am so glad we are here in Tampa. We truly have the best fan base.

Go Vols.

Taking a detour through St Augustine and Daytona. Met the daughter of a former vol quarterback! I think they said 1973-74? Randy Wallace?

Welp... it's official... i'm Orange with envy. It sounds fun and I wish I could be there! Do those of us whom cannot make it a favor and get LOUD on defense and wear bright bold orange colors to the game! Have fun and be safe! Here's to a fun, SAFE trip to all of you down there and let's hope we come home with a W (God Willing)

I know exactly how you feel, because I had the same reaction in Eugene a couple of years ago. First game I had attended in-person since I was a student. It was so awesome to be surrounded by my Vol brethren. Glad you got a chance to be there and wish I was, too.

Yes, he was backup to Condredge Holloway in 74 then was the starter after that, if I remember correctly.

I fully understand. We live near Orlando (behind enemy lines) and will be at the Outback Bowl, but we had the same feeling in November when we were able to get to the holy land of Neyland Stadium to watch the Vols whip vandy. It had been 11 years since we had been to a home game. Our Orange-blooded 20-year-old daughter really didn't remember the trip in 2004 for the UK game so she was the one really pushing to go. It was pretty emotional for me walking into the stadium and then especially during pregame. As a member of the POTS many moons ago, the pregame brought back so many great memories of marching on that same field. Yes, my eyes glistened over as the band played during the pregame. I felt kind of silly at first, but the University of Tennessee means so much to me that I just let a few tears roll down my cheeks. I had not expected that to happen, but when you have that passion, it just manifests itself like that. #AlwaysBigOrange

I just wish it were a little cooler. A noon game and 85 degrees gonna suck. But I am glad to be here anyway.

Wish I were down there. Sitting here in Naperville IL and just read the Sun Times evaluation of the game and they are predicting NU 20-17 winner. Says they NU defense needs to spend "lots of quality time in theh Vol's backfield." "Keep the score close in the 4th quarter where Tennessee has wilted."

Go Vols!!!! Pound them silly.

Sitting here in Tarpon Springs, 16 hour drive from Bmore yesterday, man, were we beat. I'm so hyped to see this game. Saw several Big Orange T's on cars in SC and GA on their way here and we all honked and waved. There's only one Big Orange, Only one Power T. Go Vols!!!
