Just an FYI about PS3 NCAA 2010

I own both. I like PS3 better. :dunno: To me it's just a sexier, more solidly built machine. It purrs like a kitten while my 360 sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. Plus it has better exclusives imo. Not to mention everything you need is already in the machine. Built in wifi (gotta be bought separately on 360), built in blue tooth (360 doesn't support it), built in blu ray playback (360 doesn't have it), and the hard drive is easily upgradable due to it using a standard laptop style format. I just upgraded my 60gb PS3 to 500gb for 80 bucks!! Try doing that with Microsoft and their proprietary junk! You'll pay about a hundred dollars more for just a 120gb hard drive on the 360.

For those siting PS3's yellow light of death, you do not even want to go there! That accounts for < 1% of Sony's install base. 360's RROD at one time accounted for about 30% of their install base. Luckily my 360 has never crapped out but that's most likely because I don't turn it on as much as my PS3.

Regarding online services, yes I will concede that Live is certainly ahead of PSN in terms of services and capability. However PSN is catching up little by little all while still managing to be free to the consumer. Really all that's left for Sony to implement into PSN is cross game chat and a universal party system. That's it! Once that's done the "Xbots" won't have anything else to hold over PS3 owner's heads going "nanny nanny boo boo." In terms of actual online play, it's not even close. I get much more lag online with my 360 than I do my PS3.

Why do people defend their game consoles like they work for the company, or get commission off of sales of one or the other or something? They both have their pluses and minuses. About 2 years ago I had a 360 and a PS3. I got rid of the PS3 cause all I was using it for was a blu-ray player (which I have on my media center pc). I really only play sports games. PS3 and 360 are equally great machines.....their biggest difference is their price point. :)

I have both systems, also. I use the PS3 for Blu-Ray only and the 360 for gaming. I gladly pay $50 for having only one gamer tag and all the options that Live provides over the PS3. Sony is light years behind the Xbox in online play.

Same here.

Not to mention the online play. Those numbers aren't even close.

If you only play offline a ps3 might not be a bad choice but I wouldn't even consider it otherwise. 95% of the people I have talked to that have both systems only play their ps3 occaisionally - and only for the one or two games that excel. Games like MLB The Show or the shooter that came with the system ( the name escapes me) are about the only ones I hear of.

the last thing I saw was the 360 was the only console to increase sales over the same period last year. And 80k more is a healthy lead

(can't open duckman's links so they may be on that very point)

They increase sales because the things blow up after 6 months. Xbox 360's have a baaaaaad reputation for problems. I'm quite happy with my PS3 and never had a problem with it.

XB Live is the reason I have a 360.....plain and simple. $5 per month is well worth it to me for what I get. And to the previous page poster that said PS3 has "much better exclusives"......please list them, as I am drawing a complete blank except for the God of War series. I would love to have a PS3 again, but the 3-400 bucks it costs just cant be justified in my mind, when I can get all the same games on the 360. I understand the guys who have had troubles from the RROD.....but I had a launch 360, which I sold to purchase an elite version a year ago and have had ZERO problems.....but I am well aware my experience was the minority. In the end, buy what you enjoy. You dont have to get into fanboy arguments on a message board about which system is better to make yourself feel better and justify your purchase.
