Just a tad of respect/Predictions from CFN: Merged

what gets me is the automatic assumption that we win out. I have visions of D-Mac going for about 200 and UA controlling the time of possession.

UT vs GA 07 reminds me of UT vs Cal 06. After each game UT looked like world beaters.

I would say Matt Zemeck is just another columnist who may focus more on the South region since the others didn't even bother to comment on the SEC East. And yeah, it was that horrible 2003 crap. I think I do remember some kind of voting.

We have a long way to go and something about the UK game bugs me.

I think if Ainge stays healthy, we do well.

Every other position has had enough rotation that I think we could play without any other single player, but he is too important to the team.

Same as 2006, if he goes down, so does our season.

Ah, yes, 2003. GA lost to LSU and FL, FL lost to TN and Ole Miss, TN lost to GA and Auburn. GA went to the SEC CG to lose to LSU. That was pretty wild. Didn't the SEC coaches vote to see who would represent the East in the SEC CG?

That was the tie-breaker as written at the time, but they actually got together and voted to change the rule, awarding the SECG appearance to the highest ranked team in the BCS (which was Georgia.)

I agree that Ainge is important, but were Crompton to be handed the reins tomorrow, I think we would be fine.

I think the jury is still out on Crompton. You can argue that he has played like crap in his limited roles, but he hasn't been given a chance to get into a rhythm.

I hope we don't see. *knock on wood*

Like they did against Bama? or wait, Kentucky?

like they/he did to us last year when they ran us out of the stadium. Just because we beat UGA dont forget that UF ran at will on us and Desean Jackson just made us look silly.

My point is this, McFadden can and probably will get 150-175 yards against us.

But that does not translate into a W for Arkansas. He lit up Bama and still lost that game. He fared well against UK (don't know the exact stats) but they still lost.

Their D sucks. Casey Dick sucks. Everyone on that O besides Jones, Monk (when he is healthy, which he hasn't been all season) and McFadden sucks. And Nutt might be one of the few coaches left that Fulmer will outcoach.

Arkansas will have folded like a cheap tent by the time UT plays them.

UT will beat Arkansas.

I fear Kentucky and South Carolina a whole helluva a lot more than Arkansas.

I thought it was funny that someone in there said OSU will have a tough time with Wisconsin but not with Michigan or Illinois.

Another interesting quote from the article:

2. Navy will end its 43-game losing streak to Notre Dame on Nov. 3. This is the Middies’ best chance in decades to break through against the Irish, an opportunity that they’ll seize by running the ball right at one of the nation’s weakest run defenses. If Navy can’t get it done this fall, it could be another 43 games

If that happens, the longest win streak in the country will be....

Tennessee's streak over Kentucky.
Penn State has currently beaten temple 24 consecutive times.

That series is not played every year. Sorry, I should have been more specific. If Notre Dame beats Navy, UT will hold the longest winning streak over an opponent in a series that is played every year.

If Notre Dame beats Navy, it will just be one year longer. :p

Next time I'll be more careful to dot all the 't's and whatnot.
The only reason I remember that tad bit of trivia is we were poised to take over longest win streak over an in-state rival (like Temple is PSU's rival) and 2005 screwed that up.

Up until that time, we held spots 2 & 3 on the "Continuously Played" streak list, which is why I know the Kentucky stat.
