I'm far from the guy that will be the ever optimist, and I really believe in keeping perspectives realistic. That is why I am saying this...

The experience and battle testing this team (especially the D) has gone through this year will pay huge dividends next year with a healthy team. I know it is hard, and really sucks to keep saying this, but we just need a little more patience. Just a little more.

Think about what we saw tonight in the first half against arguably the best team in the nation with a depleted roster. Now imagine how different it would have been with a completely healthy squad with just a little more depth. We got this guys, it just needs a little more patience that nobody is really interested in giving right now.

It's rough, I get it. Just got to give it a little more time and we may just have a really, really fun team to watch in the very near future.

That's all I got tonight.

Disagree. Bray, Hunter, a little depth....and not only this game, but the entire season is a completely different story. The coaching in the first half was top notch IMO.

We need patience yes, but more than you're calling for. We need all the patience we can muster. The season is getting ugly.

This is the situation: Almost no seniors or juniors starting. Lost Janzen Jackson and Herman Lathers before the season. Lost Hunter and Bray during the season. A converted offensive lineman at nose tackle. A converted defensive end at tackle. A head coach (with all due respect) still learning on the job. A converted fullback at middle linebacker. Almost no instate talent to recruit.

Lots of patience is required, lots and lots. But I believe it will get better.
