There should really only be 4 national holidays. Independence Day, Memorial Day, Armistice Day and and a holiday to celebrate the end of WWII

2/5/10/20 whatever. I chose Top 10 because that is typically how a list of the best is usually framed. I don't particularly care what the number is, 10 was just a nice round starting point.

when I worked I did not get most Fed holiday off. If I didn't work I did not get paid. since I am a taxpayer paying the salaries of federal workers they should have to work most holidays too. they can have all the Fed holidays they want as long as the banks and the post office are open on most all of them.

i'm not talking about hours worked per week, i'm just referring to fed employees working on some holidays as many taxpayers do. Employees cannot create their own paid holidays as fed gov't continually creates for itself paid holidays. Fed employees have 'golden parachutes' paid for by taxpayers who have no such thing. Under Biden fed employees financially flourished while the average taxpayer suffered. It should be the other way around.

Lots of private employers align their holiday schedule with federal holidays. If someone has fewer holidays, they should ideally have better working conditions for themselves instead of advocating for things to get worse for others

Lol. I just think it’s funny we need a holiday and we support it so much we’ll take another one away. Of course I’m aware that varies from company to company and we all know the federal government will take as many days as possible which is bass akwards. It’s ok though I celebrated.

I understand the day June 19, but if it's going to be federally observed then it should be observed the first Monday in August. That would give us a nice lineup of Memorial Day, July 4, this thing, Labor Day, right into the bulk of holidays. We'd have one each month of the summer nice a spread out. Needs to happen.
